We had the good fortune of connecting with Heather Marianna and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Heather, how do you think about risk?
I think life is all about calculated decisions and risks. It isn’t only about money but it’s also about business. For example in January of 2020 I started another brand in Canada, and we were slated to go public end 2020, then the pandemic hit. Then then then and finally 2022 it’s being done. I could have stopped spending, working on that brand but I did not, I kept it moving with my CEO up there and kept working on it daily. Now 2 years later it’s all wrapped up. You have to weigh out the rewards versus risk. A few months ago I saw what I would call my dream office space /warehouse, I wanted it bad. But I always say be smart, the rent was ten times what I am paying now, I was approved, payments were made. And then inflation hit, the state of the world is shaky, why make my business shaky and risk the well being of my 17 employees who depend once? I bailed on it, I lost 25k on the deal but I saved my sanity and peoples jobs. I think staying ahead of what Is going on, staying up on trends in your business and news will always help you make those calculated risk decisions with a clearer head. I took a risk on this whole company, which paid off (BeautyKitchen.net) but that risk lead to Marianna.Ca, Beautybrandcoaching.com and with ten years int he business I can also help others grow their skincare and beauty brands and companies. And one of the main things I teach is taking calculated risks.

What should our readers know about your business?
My business is skincare, I love skincare and I also love manufacturing. Marrying the two really set me apart in such a way that I can control costs, inventory and price not only for my clients but my brands. I also teach woman how to build up their beauty brands. I am most proud of the work I do the fact that I can empty people and that the money I make and my work helps other people build their dream brands and helps people build their dream lives. Beauty Kitchen® was born from my belief that the world deserves 100% natural skincare and cosmetics without the use of chemical preservatives. Our products are hand-made fresh at our facilities in the USA, and are always Cruelty-Free, Paraben-Free, and Sulfate-Free.
Our mission is to provide an all-encompassing, luxurious at-home spa experience for the modern day glamour girl at an affordable price. I started this mission in 2012 in my garage and have built my little every expanding empire. It wasn’t and isn’t easy, I work 6 days a week, for my self and my clients, I am feverishly following up and I never take no for a response. if you hear no your asking the wrong person.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well I love this question! I actually plan trips and VIP days with me for my 1-1 coaching clients in the beauty industry. My client Allana, founder of Sabali Pure and I are will be visiting Miraval Spa in Tucson on 11/7 for the entire day. We are taking classes, doing spa treatments and eating healthy food. If I were to plan something for someone it would definitely have a health and wellness aspect to it. I am actually going to be doing Beauty Kitchen / Boss Babe weekend retreats spring 2023 with all these things included!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Tanya Wilson and Her daughter Azyli who live in Scottsdale for referring me to this interview. She and her daughter have been dream clients and I cannot wait to see her teen brand grow.
