We had the good fortune of connecting with Herbert Decker Jr. III and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Herbert, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Risk is the currency of growth, the fuel that powers transformation. In my life and career, I’ve learned that every leap of faith, every bold decision, is a step closer to becoming the person I was meant to be. Risk isn’t about recklessness; it’s about recognizing that the comfort zone is the enemy of progress. I remember when I got the inner calling from God to be a speaker. I had no clue where to begin, but I knew it was my purpose. I took small steps, researching others in the field, and in 2017, I started doing live speeches in my car on social media. Fast forward to 2024, and I’m speaking at several conferences and wrote a book called *Coach Heal Motivate*. Along the way, I faced many setbacks, but staying self-disciplined and persistent was key. You’re going to face challenges; that’s part of the journey. The real growth comes when you try to enjoy the journey and learn from every experience. Without risk, there’s no reward, and without the willingness to step into uncertainty, success remains just a distant dream.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My art is more than just words; it’s a reflection of my journey, my faith, and the principles that have guided me through life’s challenges. What sets me apart is my unique approach with *Coach Heal Motivate*, where I coach the mind, heal the body, and motivate the spirit. This holistic approach allows me to connect deeply with others by sharing my story authentically and empowering them to live their best lives. I’m most proud of the impact my work has had on people’s lives, helping them find their purpose and stay motivated even when the road gets tough.

Getting to where I am today professionally wasn’t easy. It started with an inner calling from God to be a speaker, and I had no idea where to begin. I faced countless setbacks, but I overcame them by staying committed to my purpose and trusting the process. Every challenge taught me valuable lessons—like the importance of perseverance, the power of faith, and the necessity of staying true to myself.

What I want the world to know about my brand and story is that it’s a testament to the power of purpose and determination. I started by doing live speeches in my car on social media in 2017, and now, in 2024, I’m speaking at several conferences and have written my book, *Coach Heal Motivate*. My journey is proof that with God’s guidance, self-discipline, and persistence, you can achieve greatness. My brand is about inspiring others to find their purpose, embrace the journey, and never give up, no matter how tough it gets. Through *Coach Heal Motivate*, I coach the mind, heal the body, and motivate the spirit, empowering others to unlock their full potential.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend were visiting, we’d dive into a week packed with adventure, good food, and a little bit of spiritual recharge. We’d start in Sedona, and head up to Bell Rock Vortex which offers great views and hiking trails. Followed by taking my Jeep off-road to really soak in those red rock, it’s all about balancing that energy. Then, we’d switch gears and head down to Tombstone to catch a piece of the Old West at the OK Corral, nothing like a little history to ground you.

For the food spots, we’d start our mornings at Hash Kitchen or First Watch, fueling up for the day with some solid breakfast. Caldwell County Mexi Q would be on the list for some killer barbecue with a southwestern twist. And for the grand finale, we’d hit up Rodizio Grill for an all-out Brazilian steakhouse experience. Between all that, we’d check out some farmers markets, dive into the supernatural stuff that always gets me thinking, and just take in the best of what the area has to offer.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First and foremost, I want to thank God for putting this purpose within me and allowing my spirit to be guided throughout this incredible journey. His guidance has been my foundation, and I’m grateful for every step He has led me through. I also want to give a shoutout to Les Brown, whose training and wisdom have been instrumental in shaping my path as a speaker and allowing me to speak on his stage. His teachings have given me the tools to stand strong and deliver my message with confidence. Lastly, I have to mention my favorite book, *The Power of Now* by Eckhart Tolle. It has been a constant source of inspiration, grounding me in the present and reminding me of the importance of mindfulness on this journey. These influences have played a significant role in my success, and I’m deeply grateful for each one.
