We had the good fortune of connecting with Holly Carlson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Holly, what do you attribute your success to?
I think whas has helped me in being successful in business is being myself and holding true to my core values of treating everyone with kindness and always being willing to go the extra mile for my clients. I also believe that it is my passion for skin care and wanting what is best for my clients has also assisted in the success of Face It Skincare

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I specialize in acne, anti-aging and hyperpigmentation. I love seeing skin change and improve, especially when I can clear acne for people who have suffered with acne for a long time. Another part of my job that I love is helping people ease their stress. Just watching someome who is stressed and within 10 minutes in to a facial treatment, I can just watch the stress leave their bodies. It is such a great feeling when you can provide that comfort to someone I got to where I am by working hard. I wish there was an easy way to grow a business, but there is no other way than working hard and not giving up. You have to believe in yourself and what you are doing and eventually it shows to everyone and you start to grow. I have learned a lot of lessons. I think the biggest one though is to never give up and to not focus on the negative. I would want the world to know that every person who walks through my door receives customized treatments for them. I am not like the big chains where you do not always see the same person or you get the same, cookie cutter treatment every time. You get me and my experience as a Master Aesthetician at every appointment.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
When my friend from Florida comes in to town, the first thing she does is make an appointment at Face It Skincare. After that, some of the places I take her is ZTejas for happy hour. Love the margaritas. Valle Luna for their wonderful patio, food and drinks. The Desert Botanical Garden is a must see and one of my favorite places to go. Such a beautiful and relaxing place to be. Please support the garden, they are non-profit and took a hit during this time. The Phoenix Art Museum is also a must see. So many beautiful pieces. It is breath taking. And a weekend trip to Pinetop or Rocky Point. Two of my favorite out of town places to go.
