Meet Huego | Music Producer/DJ

We had the good fortune of connecting with Huego and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Huego, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
Growing up I’ve been fascinated with music overall as an art. Starting piano when I was 4, I was immersed with classical and romantic tunes which eventually evolved into popular music around me including pop, hip hop, and rnb. Fast forward years on afterwards and experimenting with music that ranges from rock bands like Nirvana to hip hop artists like Kendrick Lamar I decided to take my try at starting my own project. Initially, music production was meant to be supplemental to my goal of creating hip hop and rnb tracks, but once I was introduced to the dance music sphere it evolved into a much more expressive take on the art. As such, I’ve experimented with varying genres and seek to accumulate my curation into an art form that’s unique to me. That’s been the essence of why I’ve done music and how it’s changed to be the project “Huego” as it is today.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My art lives at the intersection of emotion and rhythm. I produce dark tech house that blends heavy underground energy with the rawness of personal storytelling. What sets me apart is that my music isn’t just about making people dance. It’s about channeling real experiences of heartbreak, resilience, and growth into something that can move both the body and the soul.I’m most proud of building this path while working full time in diagnostic cardiology and learning to manage everything, (from producing two songs a week, to handling promotion, to running my own label). It hasn’t been easy, but the grind has taught me discipline and patience. The biggest challenge has been balancing the dream with real life, and I’ve overcome it by staying focused on the “why”: creating music that’s honest, that connects, and that builds a community.
One of the lessons I’ve learned is that success in music isn’t about chasing the wild party lifestyle you see on the surface. For me, it’s about building a sustainable, value driven career. One where I can be true to myself while still pushing boundaries in sound and performance. What I want the world to know about me and my brand is that this isn’t just music for the club. It’s music born from personal struggle and from a desire to carve out a healthier, more meaningful path in a scene that often overlooks those things. My goal is to give people something they can feel deeply, even while they’re moving to the beat.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was visiting Arizona for a week, I’d definitely want to give them the full experience of what makes this place special. We’d kick things off outdoors with a trip to Saguaro Lake, whether it’s boating or just hanging out by the water, it’s one of my favorite ways to enjoy the desert scenery and relax.
After a day outside, we’d clean up and head into Scottsdale for dinner and drinks at The Montauk. It’s got a great vibe, laid back but still lively, which makes it the perfect spot to recharge before a night out.
From there, no trip would be complete without diving into the Arizona house music scene. Depending on the night, we’d either catch a big event put on by Relentless Beats or head to a more underground, intimate party run by my friends at Top Secret, a local event company and record label. Throughout the week, we’d mix in more hikes, maybe hit a few other local food spots, and just soak in the balance Arizona offers. Amazing landscapes during the day and a thriving music culture at night. To me, that’s the best way to experience this state.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d like to dedicate my shoutout first and foremost to my mom. She’s been my biggest inspiration and support system, always encouraging me to chase my dreams even when the path wasn’t clear. Her strength and love are a big part of why I keep pushing forward with my music.I also want to honor my piano teacher, who passed away when I was nine years old. She gave me the first real means of expressing myself through music, and those early lessons shaped how I approach creativity to this day. Even though she’s no longer here, I carry that foundation with me every time I sit down to create.
On a more personal note, music for me has always been tied to emotion. The people who have believed in me, from family to friends, have not only kept me grounded but have also fueled the stories I tell through my sound. I wouldn’t be where I am without their love and encouragement.
