We had the good fortune of connecting with Isaac Ford and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Isaac, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
As a band, we all love to create. We all take pride in our craft and hope together we can work to inspire the community.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
The band was created fairly recently and we have very quickly become very close friends. Our name is a way of simplifying what the core of our band is about. We make music that doesn’t necessarily take care of the world’s problems, but does let people know that they’re not alone. We take pride in our lyrics and compositions and hope to make people think. We write the way we want to write with no intentions of purposely making our music “marketable”. If people enjoy our music in the end that’s great, but if they don’t at least we are still making art on our terms.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
One of our favorite sites here in Arizona would have to be SoZo’s Coffeehouse. Great coffee, killer drinks and a great atmosphere. We’d then say they’d have to check out Hole in a Rock and the botanical gardens. It is a great way to see what beautiful sites the desert has to offer. Lastly everyone should get some food at Macayo’s! So good.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Starting a band in Arizona we have been lucky to meet supportive people in the community including Robert Hendrix, Tracy Henderson, Monique Rodriguez, and Lori Morgan. As well as our teachers including Jon Murray, Dr. Miller, Topher Keene, Nathaniel De La Cruz, and Jonathan Sewell.
