Meet Jada Sharise | Dating & Relationship Coach

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jada Sharise and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jada, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
One day, I was reflecting on my healing journey and I was so proud of the internal work I did to become whole after failed relationships. For the first time, I saw my brokenness as beautiful. And I thought to myself, I want to give women everything I wish I had during my healing journey. So when I create content, write books or launch Relationship Programs, it’s because I want to help women get through the things I’ve already been through OR I am trying to help them avoid the same mistakes I made. Purpose is always bigger than you, so it was only right that I reach back and help other women get to the beautiful destination of wholeness.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
So here I was, back in 2016, pouring my broken heart out in the notes of my phone. I was going through a phase of losing myself, but also finding myself at the same time. Once I found the strength and beauty of walking away from a toxic relationship, I was inspired and encouraged to uplift other women. I wanted her to know that there was a blessing in the separation, that she deserves to be loved the right way, the FIRST time, that she was worthy of love and didn’t have to settle for it. I became obsessed with self-love and the journey of healing and wholeness, and I wanted to share it with the world. And so, I started a blog.
I never considered myself a “writer” so I was terrified to start a blog. Would I run out of things to say? Will people judge my stories? Will people even read my stories?! But the more I wrote, the more they wanted. I found confidence in sharing my brokenness because SO many men and women related to it. I wrote my first book, “Brokenness That Made Me Whole”. I felt connected to men and women I had never met and it made my soul happy that I was creating a safe space for them to share their brokenness and how we overcame it/work through it.
Then, I decided to start a podcast, “Moore To The Story”, a platform for men and women to share their story of brokenness and how they overcame it…because we all have a story to tell and someone needs to hear it. Your story of hope and inspiration can save a life!
Once I realized that my purpose was bigger than me, that it was my God-given talent, I found the strength and creativity I never knew I had. Eventually, I decided to start a Relationship Coaching business (Jada Sharise, LLC), helping women heal from their past and prepare for the love they’re praying for. Shortly after, I wrote my second book, The Break-Up Bible.
One thing I learned from this journey is, you truly have to believe in yourself and be consistent. Success is a process, you have to put the time and work in. You have to do it when no one is listening, reading, or watching. You have to do it for yourself and always bet on yourself, because people won’t always support you. But if YOU believe in your gift, and you market and promote yourself constantly, they will have no choice but to support you or unfollow you. And if they unfollow you, that’s ok. You won’t be for everybody and that’s what makes you unique. One of my favorite scriptures says: Work as though you’re working for God, not for people.”
I think much of my success has come from my transparency and transformation. Many people don’t share their failures, but I share ALL of mine. I only know how to be real and that’s how I create my content – with truth. Sharing the failures in love before the successes.
I want the world to see God through my brand and through every piece of content I create. This isn’t about me, it’s bigger than me. I give God all the glory. It’s about how my life changed when I did the internal work, starting with my relationship with God. I want the world to see/read my story and be inspired and find hope. I want the world to feel love and compassion through my content, because I literally write every book, guide, and podcast with HER in mind, whomever she is that needs encouragement and a little bit of hope.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Oooh chile! Chicago is a huge playground. There’s so much to do, see, eat and drink. Good thing I keep a notes section in my phone for “Weekends/Date Nights!” We have so many small neighborhoods within Chicago with lots of arts and hidden gems, so I’d definitely take someone to see a few neighborhoods like Pilsen, Bronzeville, Hyde Park, Wicker Park, etc. Of course we’ll have to get some pizza, enjoy the bean and mesmerize over the best skyline in the world! The Chicago River is a vibe with lots of restaurants and walking paths. And on Sundays?? We brunch!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I have to give a huge shout out to my “Sis” Mariah Jackson who believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself. She encouraged me to start blogging instead of keeping everything in the notes of my phone. I started a blog and that turned into my first book. Now, I’m a 2x Author, Podcast Host/Producer, Speaker and Coach.
To my Husband, Tyron Lawrence – Your love, support, and encouragement is unmatched. You’re my loudest cheerleader and you allow me to be honest, vulnerable and open with my past, which allows me to help other women heal. Thank you for loving me and thank you for being there with me every season (CZN).
Lastly, I have to thank my past. It shaped me, molded me, and birthed the woman I am today. I am nothing without my past.
