We had the good fortune of connecting with Jamie Ciocchetti and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jamie, is there something you can share with us that those outside of the industry might not be aware of?
I think when some Realtors start in the business, they don’t understand that they are becoming a business owner. That their success in their business is in their own hands. As small business owners, we wear many hats and that contributes to our success. If more Realtors came in to this business understanding that they are Real Estate Business Owners and not just a Realtor, they would be more focused on what it will take to be successful.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am passionate about helping others to be successful in their business. So often we are our own road block from success. I love to teach business owners to use the tools they have to help them be successful. Within my brokerage, as the VP of Operations & Education, I am able to create systems and processes to help our brokerage be successful while training agents at the same time. I think what I am most proud of, is finding my niche within the Real Estate community and how I can help others. The best moments are in a class when the light bulb goes off for an agent or when a seasoned agent comes up to me after class and thanks me because had a great takeaway that day.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Oh Man! This is a loaded question. As a native of AZ, the list is long. Day trips are a must when people come to visit. Arizona is made up of such beautiful places. Sedona and the Grand Canyon are must sees.. and why not a Pink Jeep tour while we are at it. Depending on the season, the Salt River or Canyon lake would probably be on my list.
For dinner, at least one night at Oreganos and maybe a steak from Durant’s. A breakfast must would be TC Eggington’s in Mesa.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Its so hard to shoutout just one person. I am lucky that I was raised by hardworking entrepreneurs. I get my business sense from my father. He was my mentor and really pushed me to think outside of the box when it comes to what I am capable of. I watched my parents build businesses throughout my childhood. Some were successful and others, not so much. My mother was a great role-model of work life balance and wearing multiple hats every day. My problem solving skills come from many years in the restaurant industry where I had some great mentors to help me along the way. This is where my passion for training and coaching really took shape.
When I left the restaurant industry and decided to jump head first into Real Estate, Tina Powers took me in. She listened to my goal of bringing my passion for training into this new career of mine and she took a chance. I am forever grateful that she believed in me from the start.
Last but not least, I have to say thank you to my brokerage, DeLex Realty for allowing me to live my passion each and every day. I have the freedom to not only help agents within my brokerage but to go share my knowledge with others.
