We had the good fortune of connecting with Jasmine Parker and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jasmine, every day, we about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
My business idea was born from personal experience and my life’s purpose of helping and healing others. Four years ago, I had a health crisis, and as a medical professional, I had no idea what was happening to me, where it came from, or why. I was on the round-a-bout doctor visits, and no one could help me figure out what was wrong. It wasn’t until I was introduced to Functional Medicine that a provider could identify precisely what was happening, why it was happening, and how to heal so I could feel like myself again. This personal experience changed everything for me! I kept thinking to myself, “Why doesn’t everyone know about this? How is this not the way we practice medicine?” I then jumped into entrepreneurship and spent some time figuring out exactly how I wanted to serve women with Hashimoto’s, like myself. It wasn’t until I was on a wellness retreat in Costa Rica that I came up with the idea of Love, Your Thyroid™. I wanted other women to have the education, resources, and tools they need to get on the road to remission; the things that were heavily lacking after diagnosis. I didn’t want other women to feel hopeless and helpless when it came to their own health; I wanted them to understand that they have way more control over their diagnosis than they realize and know how to take back control of it to thrive in life!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I began my professional career as a registered nurse, driven by a deep-seated purpose to heal others. My career took shape in the medical-surgical unit, where I honed my bedside nursing skills before transitioning to a step-down ICU. However, a personal health crisis inspired a pivot in my path and I decided to become certified as a Functional Medicine Health Coach. After the pandemic, and searching for a change, I embraced an opportunity to work as a travel nurse for a year, serving in various step-down ICU units across the United States. This experience not only broadened my clinical knowledge but I started to feel a tug towards something more. Half way through that travel year I took a bold leap into entrepreneurship and established my own business Jasmine Parker Coaching.

What sets me apart is not just my unique skill set, merging conventional and functional medicine, but also the personal experiences that shape my perspective.

The path to my current position has not been easy; it has been filled with challenges, from professional to personal, that have revealed some beautifully important lessons. Overcoming these challenges was made possible by the unwavering support of my husband, friends, and mentors. One of my favorite lessons from a mentor is “you don’t have to know everything you just have to know where your resources are”.

Through my journey I have also learned:
🦋What is meant for you will happen exactly when it is suppose to, not a minute sooner and not a minute later because everything happens for a reason.
🦋If not this, something better.
🦋Make sure the vision you are serving is authentic to you and not what others have imposed upon you
🦋Be the lighthouse and lead with service
🦋If you don’t love your work you won’t ever care enough to do it or make change in the world. DO something you love.
🦋Have faith in yourself even when everyone else doesn’t.

I am most proud of all the growth and learning that I have gone through to get to where I am today. Stepping into my higher self to serve on a level I never imagined possible, to make change and help others heal, and in doing so healing myself.

I want the world to know that I understand, I have been there too. I see you, I hear you. Now I want to empower you. Empower you with the education, resources, and tools to take back control of your health and live your healthiest, happiest life. Know that it is possible and you are not alone.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My favorite spots to take people to when they come to the city are:

Kaleidoscope Juice! My favorites are Blue Majik, Watermelon Flush, and I love their gluten-free protein waffles with fresh fruit and coconut whip!

Amelia’s by EAT: the food is seriously so good! Im a sucker for gluten free chicken noodle soup and hot honey ham and cheese and don’t forget the maple cold brew! They have some amazing products you can take home, I like to get the superfood sprinkles to use on my dishes at home.

Cooper’s Hawk is a another favorite of mine. Great gluten free menu and everything is always delicious!

My personal favorite activity, I go almost every week, is the Phoenix zoo, no I am not kidding. The Californian condor, the tigers, and the new lion cubs are my favorite to visit and my husband and I get 2 hours of walking in!

Definitely hitting up a Reformed Pilates class! It’s my favorite place to spend some “me time” and the energy is incredible.

Civana wellness resort & spa- who doesn’t love time at the spa, need I say more?

We also have enjoyed going to the aquarium, the medieval times castle, guided AVT tours, hot air balloon rides, escape rooms, floating down the Salt River.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
The beautiful thing is we aren’t meant to do life or business alone, and the truth is I’ve had some pretty incredible people help me on my journey to building Love, Your Thyroid™.

I wouldn’t be where I am today without my late friend, Jody Church, who led me to my incredible Functional Medicine provider.

Jade Etter, aka the Gut Health Queen, has been a lighthouse for me and my business development on so many levels.

My incredibly close colleague and friend group who I can be humble and vulnerable with, who support me every step on the way on this business and life venture and push me to serve at my highest potential: Emily Burger, Taylor Knese, Marketta Moore, Rachel Genz, Sarah Mathis, Krissy Ford, Aliesha Mann, and Layne Vanlieshout.

Jillian Murphy and her Infinity group; I met amazing people in that space who helped me to get on stage and share my story (Andrea Merrill), design my book cover (Pricilla Sites), and support the backend of my Hidden Healing Summit (Maleah Gordon).

Most importantly, my husband, Joe. The undeniable belief, love, support, and encouragement from this man is how I have been able to execute my visions into reality.
