We had the good fortune of connecting with Jasmine Samaniego and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jasmine, how do you think about risk?
Risk taking is not something I try doing often, having two kids and all. On the other hand, being a mom of two is also what drove me to take the risk. I am risking financially sure but not only that, I’m also risking time with my babies. With starting Aileena Boutique I knew that I had to give it my 100% in the hopes of being successful and providing for my small family. Having my husband and family’s support has helped me immensely which I will forever be grateful for. Taking these risks are what has helped me get to where I am now, bringing me more confidence than I have ever had.
What should our readers know about your business?
I have always loved dressing up since I was literally 5 or even younger. I was always known in my family as being extra lol but when I had my babies I kind of lost myself (honestly still finding myself) but because of that I decided to finally do this business in hopes of not only motivating myself but all women who have felt this slump before or just all women in general who love dressing up. Aileena is a mash up of my two babies’ names: Aleena and Aiden.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was visiting for a week, I would recommend them to eat at Tacos Barbon in Avondale then to go hang out and shop at the Phoenix Park N’ Swap (especially when I have my Pop Up Shops there). We would also hit up South Mountain for a hike on an early morning.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My husband and my family have been my biggest supporters. My husband has helped me financially and also has helped me with setting up Pop Up Shops. My family have given me drive to push myself further and helped with taking care of my babies while I am working. If it wasn’t for my village my business would not have been possible at all.
