We had the good fortune of connecting with Jason Goldstein and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jason, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I have always had a love for film and photography since I was a little kid. When I graduated college and moved to Hawaii for a couple of years that’s when I started taking photography and video much more serious. I started watching YouTube videos on how to edit. I decided to move back to Arizona and purse a business in photography. I started meeting up with other creatives as well as doing my own projects. I am happy to still be working in this field and looking forward to what is on the horizon.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My process is first research the style of photography or video before making it. Next I make sure I have the right equipment. Then I start testing out videos/photos and looking at the result to see how I can improve. I like to take my time and not rush the work.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If someone was visiting for the first time. I would take them to spots like Mt Lemmon, Gates Pass and The Desert Museum. After some sight seeing we would grab a bite to eat at El taco Rustico.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I really have to shoutout my family. Specifically my parents. They are always there to help me out and our super supportive.
