Meet Jereme Paddock | Dog Behavior Modification Trainer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jereme Paddock and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jereme, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I had worked with dogs for 4-5 years in a boarding facility and then in an animal hospital prior to starting my business. In that time, I discovered a passion for understanding dogs with behavioral issues such as anxiety and aggression. My goal was to create a place where otherwise “problematic” dogs could get the help they need and to bridge that communication gap between misunderstood dogs and their owners.

What should our readers know about your business?
I believe the thing that sets us apart from most, is the dogs we are capable of working with. We are able to safely handle and help dogs that are usually not accepted elsewhere. I believe we have helped a lot of dogs get into homes as well as keep dogs in homes with their family when their family didn’t know what else to do. Running a business is never easy. If it is easy, I believe there is room for you to grow and step outside of that comfort zone. I think the biggest thing I’ve learned during the process is to just try. It sounds simple, but I think so many people get in the way of their own dreams because they don’t actually try. Whether it’s listening too much to what others have to say, or being afraid to fail, you’ll never actually know what you’re capable of unless you actually try.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m not super exciting when it comes to planning. I’d probably say to Lake Pleasant to hang out and cool off from the heat. Depending on what time of year it was, probably catch a Suns game.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I have been lucky enough to have a great team share my vision. My entire staff is always coming up with ways to better serve our clients and their dogs. My salon manager, Tessa, has been with me since opening my first storefront and has been a part of all the work to get to where we are now in a facility 3 times bigger than that original storefront. Also, a special thank you to my girlfriend, Parker, who was there with me helping layout a design in the rain to make sure our initial small storefront would be enough space to start. Without the team I have around me, my dream would’ve just stayed a dream.
