Meet Jesse Keenan | FOUNDER/OWNER of Semper Fi Heating and Cooling
We had the good fortune of connecting with Jesse Keenan and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jesse, how did you come up with the idea for your business?
The idea behind Semper Fi was inspired by my military background. I served as a Marine from 2001 to 2005, with multiple deployments during that time. The values and lessons I learned in the military, especially the importance of serving others, became the foundation of this business. One of the core principles I carried forward is the commitment to service—something I instill in my employees. As a result, we pride ourselves on providing top-notch customer service.
Additionally, I wanted to ensure that Veterans, First Responders and their families are always supported, which is why we offer a discount. We also host frequent unit giveaways to assist those in need. From the very beginning, my vision has been to build a company that is rooted in community, as this community is the very reason we exist. What began in my garage has grown into a company with nearly 300 employees, and we’ve recently expanded to Las Vegas.
I am truly humbled by my experience as a Marine and remain committed to supporting and giving back to my community.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Semper Fi Heating and Cooling is a Veteran-owned and operated company proudly serving the Phoenix Valley. We are honored to offer a 20% discount to Veterans, First Responders, and their families. Our services cover all HVAC and plumbing needs, but what truly sets us apart from other companies is our deep involvement in the community. We are active year-round, consistently working to give back. One way we do this is through frequent unit giveaways to those in need.
This company began in my garage, and the journey to where we are today wasn’t easy. The key to overcoming challenges has been maintaining a “win” mentality and surrounding myself with hardworking individuals who share a passion for growth. The culture at Semper Fi is built on camaraderie and a collective commitment to personal success. We are here to support each other as we achieve our goals.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I highly recommend checking out the Wild Horses at Salt River. As someone with a deep passion for horses and a few of my own, it’s a fantastic, family-friendly destination where you can explore and observe these beautiful animals in their natural habitat. It’s a truly unique experience.
I’d also suggest visiting Downtown Gilbert—it’s a fun place to explore, with great spots to eat and enjoy some delicious food. It’s the perfect place to spend a day out with the family or friends.

I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt thanks to our leadership team, staff, and of course, our customers. Semper Fi wouldn’t be where it is today without their dedication and support. I also owe a special thank you to my wife, Shae, and our family for their unwavering support throughout this journey. Their encouragement has been a constant source of strength for me.
