We had the good fortune of connecting with John Bonner Jr and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi John, what role has risk played in your life or career?
You gotta risk it, for the biscuit. “You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.” YOLO

No one ever got to where they wanted to be without taking risks. At least not the people that you may admire in your profession. They had to take the risks and put themselves out there to achieve their goals. When you put yourself in an uncomfortable situation, there is where you can find who you really are.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Im most excited about Gnarwhal Jrz debut album to be released this fall. Its taken awhile but its totally worth it. Ive been working on my music for years. Sometimes things take time especially if you want to get it right. Its been a tedious road but persistence pays off. I’ve learned that you gotta risk it, for the biscuit. Professionally I still feel like a kid. LOL Reliable people sometimes are hard to come by. Gnarwhal Jrz is a vibe, I hope you enjoy the ride. 🙂

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Nature is a mother. Mother is nature? Probably take them out in nature. We have some amazing nature and landsacpes out here in AZ. Canyon lake for somecowboy camping. Flagstaff to see the leaves. Maybe roll down to Peñasco. If they havent been, the GRAND CANYON. Make them eat a cow tongue taco.. Big fan of side of the road taco stands. Grill out. Go to a game. Go to a show. Maybe a pool party lol DL.
