Meet Joseph Washington | Video Producer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Joseph Washington and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Joseph, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
So I was living my dream life as a Professional Poker Player in Las Vegas.
I was having some decent success, but I wasn’t happy, & had a lot of stress going.
So I decided I needed a change & wanted to be an entrepreneur.
I seen how tough it was to run a business, so I wanted to go with something with low cost while also being versatile being able to work with people.
I ended up buying a Canon 70d, I then messaged a few models to meet up for a free photoshoots, & my journey started there.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
The business I decided to be in, is Podcast Content & Tv Series Content creation.
I feel like what sets me apart from others is, I am a natural problem solver.
The hurdles I face in what ever I am doing, helps with my creativity.
It motivates me to take risks & try things I never thought about trying.
One of my motto’s is “When you consistently figure out a way to turn negative situations into something positive, thats when you start winning bigger at life.”
I am very excited about my new Podcast I am launching in July 2025. It’s called The Reel Critics. Shout out to Olandus, she is going to Co Host with me on the Podcast.
We will be launching on youtube, facebook, and many other podcast networks.
But aside from that, I think I got to where I am now by traveling a lot and living in many different environments around the country.
I was also fortunate enough to talk to people from all over the world and listen to their views.
I think that helped shape my own views, and b/c of those experiences, I am versatile and respect many opinions, cultures, and etc.
I feel like life has been pretty easy as an adult, but it was very tough when I was a kid.
I just want people to understand that your childhood is very important in your life journey.
I think what fuels many of us including myself, is the unique life experiences Iv had as a kid.
Moving forward, I would love to show people, some unique ideas Iv had throughout the years. I think my brand is built off of offering unique experiences that we can all talk about.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My top 3 places to hangout. I would say Pour Decisions, Lo Lo Chicken & Waffles, & Modern Social. I had some great times at these places.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Yes! I had a mentor in my journey to become a Video Producer.
His name is Mr Dooley, aka Cuzzo Dooley. He helped me get comfortable with video production, while also introducing me to the business.
He had so many gadgets to use, testing them out helped me get familiar with the craft.
