We had the good fortune of connecting with Judith Aram and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Judith, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking.
Risk is a constant fact in my daily life. The risk of loosing my sanity is on top of my list. The risk of becoming homeless due to insufficient funds, to meet end-meets, and the most terrifying risk for me is, to miss opportunities to grow as an artist and running my business.
Why I said this, because I’m a single mother, and as a single independent mother your responsibilities become your burden, like a double load of stones in your backpack.
I have to manage my time, effort and finances to my first choice, my family, and then whatever is left, stretched those components for my personal self and my career. In short sentence, either I put food on the table or purchase those canvas.
Which this situation turn out to be a blessing, why? Because I’ve become more creative using whatever I have on hand and to use recycle materials. Dumpster finds and side of the road treasures.
By the end of the day, risk has become my fuel, I am a risk taker, trying to bring my two most important organs together, my heart and my head, but most of the time none.
I have ADD and the lack of external support is not helping me at all. So this is me, like a circus performance juggling family, self and business.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What ever goes through the filter of my emotions I paint.
I don’t have a definition of my style, I like to call it ‘Eclectic Art’ . I have Pop Art, Mexican lithographic and Greek Mythology influences, and just to mention all those three is a bitter sweet emotion.
I am proud of my self just to put my talents out there, not expecting anything on return just demonstrating that creativity comes in soo many different ways and I like to say: ‘Stirring emotions through Art’.
The base of my purpose with my Art is to create awareness on Suicidal tendencies, mental health and broken emotions.
As myself, a survivor of such a black incident at a very young age, I can stand with those that they lost a member by this dark incident an/or dealing with this issues. I have several Art pieces to share with my audience about this.
See, every talent has a purpose and every single one of us has the duty to find that purpose. And every single piece of Art has a story to tell and by he end, stir that emotion.
Overcoming daily challenges is to live day by day and be easy on you.
Blue Flame Studio is here to tell a story, Is here to let people know, specially women, that our Blue Flame Is our super power and that is, the Power of Intuition.
And my advice for the young Artist generation is, To keep painting, to paint whatever you feel like to and to experiment with all kind of mediums.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would most definitely take them to The Phoenix Botanical Garden first, then Museum of Art and then, whatever is there to do.
The list is long.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
