We had the good fortune of connecting with Kaila Stoglin and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kaila, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Starting my own business isn’t something I thought I would want to do. But while in beauty school, I thought I for sure knew what I wanted to do. I thought I only wanted to do makeup, but I discovered a new love for brows, lashes and waxing. After beauty school we were told that we should work under a company for a few years to build clientele but I knew I didn’t wanna work under or with anyone I just wanted my own business.
I’m glad I took the decision to take my plan into action and start my own business. Was it scary? Yes, but it was also very stressful but I’m happy I did what I did because i can’t wait for what this exciting journey hold for me
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m an esthetician that provides services such as brow lamination ,lash lifts and full body waxing ,What sets me apart from other estheticians is that I’m more accessible to people in South Tucson one thing that I learned that if you’re looking to go independent straight out of school that it will be hard and it will be challenging but it would all be worth it in the long run.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My friends and family were not only my models while in beauty school but also my biggest supporters and I couldn’t thank them enough for the support that they give me <3 A huge thank you goes out to my instructor Camila Ochoa for teaching me what I know today and helping me gather the knowledge I needed to get my license.
