We had the good fortune of connecting with Kaitlin Dunley and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kaitlin, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Haha. Well, I needed freedom, and specifically, wanted to travel. I knew I had the ability to create something sustainable with my talents (as we all do) so I went for it. Mixing the meditation of silversmithing with the ability to pretty much do it anywhere, I knew I could be successful, which to me means surviving, but doing it happily, and with quite a few extras. I’m a huge believer in manifestation and I don’t think anything is impossible. But, I also believe you can’t be successful without taking leaps into the unknown. So if you’re reading this and looking for a sign, this is it!!!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My company name was inspired by the live music scene, which plays a crucial role in my life and has brought me many joyous experiences and relationships. A cool thing about silversmithing is that you can progress a lot in a short time, yet there is never an end to what can be learned. Every day at my bench i’m learning ; my patience is checked, my skills are tested, and sometimes..it’s just not a good day. and thats okay! Not only do I want to share my obsession with rocks and metal with the world, but I also want to be a reminder that anything is possible. I want this company to be a reason someone follows their dreams. Watching this business unfold has been the most incredible journey, and with the help of my supporters and coaches, I will never give up on manifesting the life of my dreams. Play It Leo! Designs is a company showcasing the powerful combo of earth and metal but behind the torch is a one woman show that refuses to quit, and always embracing the entrepreneurial battlefield.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
A live band is always first choice! We will also check out local breweries and maybe some vegetarian spots before traveling down some dirt roads that take us miles away from light pollution and close up to hundred foot tall red rocks. We will drink beers and vibe out in the river or, seasonally depending, hit the mountains and find some snow.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Gratitude is the for sure attitude!! I’m so grateful for the endless abundance in my life – my best friend & life partner who shows up for me everyday. and my Instagram community of supporters and other inspiring silversmiths, The internet is a crazy place. I also don’t think theres such thing as “too much self help”. Jen Sincero’s books are my bibles. And shout out to Tracy Matthews for her wonderful and bad ass jewelry programs, as well as Kathrin Zenkina for constant inspiration. So many coaches and mentors, money manifestors, podcasters, and just truly any author of media that reminds me that we can manifest all of our hearts desires and more!!
