We had the good fortune of connecting with Jamie Hawk and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jamie, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
When I originally started my business, it was a side job as I stayed home with my kiddos. Over time, it became much more than just a side gig and it became a dream, a passion almost a calling. For the first time, I felt like I knew what I wanted to do. It was nothing I ever thought would get to where I am today, but I am still loving the journey.
What should our readers know about your business?
I am most proud of the community I get to surround myself with everyday. Sure the sales are great, but you can ask my coaches, the wins I celebrate are the texts I get about the change I have made in other entrepreneur’s lives. We are great at what we do we are the operations experts, but it goes deeper than that.
Entrepreneurship is a journey and in our industry we get to be on the front lines with our clients (fellow entrepreneurs) in the most pivotal time of their scale and it’s a true honor the trust that we are given.
The journey for me has been tough, 2 kids, Covid, battling post partum, the list goes on. But in the end, it’s all worth it.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Can I just say coffee shops? I am a sucker for a good coffee. My husband and I own a Polaris Ranger, so that is our go to when friends come. We love riding on roads that are less traveled. And even better, no cell service!
Outside of that, there are lots of places we love right around our place like Lil’ Abners Steakhouse and can’t forget Guadalajaras Mexican Restaurant.
We would spend our nights at Growlers a local bar that has local beers.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I have sort of a cliche answer to this, but it is true nonetheless….my family. More specifically my husband and two kids. Running a business is an adventure and whether they want to be or not, your whole family is on the ride with you. I’ve been immensely blessed with a husband who supports me fully and children who make the journey worth it.
