Meet Kanu Jacobsen | Love Guru

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kanu Jacobsen and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kanu, we’d love to hear what makes you happy.
Personally what makes me happy are simple things: an early morning hike to watch the sunrise, a really yummy healthy meal, a conversation with a friend or family member, traveling and seeing the world, and a cute outfit.
Professionally to answer this question I have to share a testimonial I received last week:
Working with someone like the client above and helping her reveal the barriers that were stopping her from attracting The Picture Perfect Mate really makes me happy. Knowing that the work I do with my clients helps make all of their other relationships thrive as well is the cherry on top.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am a Love Guru or you can also call me a Master Love and Relationship Coach. I help high-achieving singles who have everything in life but a partner by teaching them the framework to reveal the hidden barriers that are stopping them from attracting their Picture Perfect Partner.
I am also a Podcast Host and Producer: Real Love Real Stories – It all started from hanging out at coffee shops and people watching. I was in particular fascinated by couples. Some couples I would see being so happy in love, displaying some PDA and when I looked at the duo they didn’t look to me like they belonged. I would always wonder “how did they meet” One day I was standing in line behind this really nice couple and we started talking. Organically the conversation ended up with them sharing how they met. I was so fascinated by their story and others I heard after that. I wanted everyone to hear them too especially to all the single people who might be giving up hope on finding love. My listeners are making my podcast part of their daily commute entertainment. I have been hosting and producing this podcast for over 3 years now. I love it and you will often find me listening to previous episodes while driving around too.
I am so grateful to help singles attract love, to have a platform for couples to share Love Stories and for the my audience to enjoy these stories.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
The visit will be broken down into different activities:
1) The first thing I would tell them is pack some hiking shoes. We are so blessed to be surrounded by so many trails in the area: Pinnacle Peak, Quartz Ridge, Piestewa, Echo Canyon, Cholla, Tom’s Thumb, Saguaro lake, Sedona etc
2) Food: True Food kitchen, Breakfast Club, Flint, Buck & Rider, Chelsea’s Kitchen, Joy Ride Taco, Superstition Downtown, The Henry, Flower Child, Match @ Found-re, Essence Bakery, Seasons 52, The Wrigley’s Mansion, The Vig, Over Easy and many more
3) Sight seeing: Sedona, Antelope Canyon, Grand Canyon, Desert Botanical Gardens maybe a hot air balloon to catch a sunrise or sunset
4) Arizona is known for its resorts and spa’s – A day at the spa will be the cherry on top especially at the Phoenician
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to give a shoutout to my late Mother Matildah (she gained her angel wings on January 21st, 2021) – She is the Original Love Guru. She supported me and affirmed me even on the last day she took her last breath. Thank you Mom. May you Rest In Peace.
The next person is my sister Council Woman Trish Mandewo in Coquitlam British Columbia. Her support, honest feedback and knowledge has been so helpful. Thank you sis. You mean the world to me. Not forgetting my 2 other sisters Stella and Anna, my nieces and nephews and many more …
Thirdly I want to give a shoutout to the Coaches I have hired during this process: Diana Bishop (The Success Story Program), Tracy Malone (The Million Dollar Money Coach) and Keiona Eady (The Authentic Messenger)
Resources I lean on for knowledge, and encouragement: Lately it’s been ClubHouse: there are so many business rooms I get to share value and get value from. I listen to the following Podcasts: On Purpose with Jay Shetty, How to with Charles Duhigg, and Finding Mastery with Michael Gervais Books I have been enjoying: The Power of Habit, You are a badass, Becoming (Michelle Obama), The Answer (John Asaraf), The Untethered Soul and last but not least The Bible
