We had the good fortune of connecting with Kary Sinkule and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kary, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
Yoga’s Arc helps our communities by sharing the healing power of yoga with underserved communities that may not otherwise have access to it. Through Yoga’s Arc and Yoga’s Arc Foundation, we provide yoga programs at women’s prisons, homeless shelters, addiction recovery centers, domestic violence recovery programs, foster care organizations, and sex assault/trafficking survivor programs. Many individuals in these programs face significant mental and emotional health challenges, and our yoga instructors tailor each program to meet their unique needs, helping them cope with stress, anxiety, and trauma.
In addition to our direct services, we offer yoga certification scholarships to participants who are inspired to teach others after experiencing the benefits of our programs. To meet the growing demand for our services, we have developed advanced teacher training programs, which allow our students to complete their practicum hours by delivering yoga to these communities. This helps extend the reach of our programs while we await additional funding to expand our non-profit’s capacity.
We believe that yoga is not just for the wealthy or physically flexible; it’s for everyone, regardless of age, body type, or background. By removing barriers to access and offering yoga as a tool for healing, we empower individuals to reconnect with their bodies, reduce stress, and improve their overall well-being. Our mission is to bring yoga to anyone, anywhere, anytime, because we believe that everyone has a right to feel their best in mind and body.

What should our readers know about your business?
What makes Yoga’s Arc truly unique? It’s our personalized, accessible approach to yoga, meeting people precisely where they are—physically, emotionally, and socially. Forget one-size-fits-all classes; we craft customized yoga experiences that genuinely resonate.
We bring the profound benefits of yoga to where it’s needed most: prisons, recovery centers, hospitals, schools, and senior living facilities. Our certified instructors are equipped with the specialized knowledge to adapt every session, truly nurturing mind, body, and spirit in these underserved communities.
A core differentiator is our focus on Trauma-Informed Yoga and Somatic Healing techniques. Recognizing that many carry past burdens, our instructors prioritize safety, choice, and empowerment. This allows individuals to gently reconnect with their bodies, process emotions, and build resilience from within.
Our journey hasn’t been without its challenges, but our belief in accessible, trauma-informed practices has fueled our growth. We’re most proud of creating a powerful ripple effect: we empower participants to become certified yoga teachers themselves through scholarships, taking healing back into their own communities.
Yoga’s Arc is more than a business; it’s a catalyst for healing and empowerment. We invite you to support our mission. Your donations help us continue to support our dedicated teachers and bring these vital practices to those who need them most in Phoenix.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was visiting Phoenix for a week, we’d craft an itinerary that perfectly blends relaxation with unique local experiences. We’d definitely start by soaking in the incredible beauty of the Desert Botanical Garden, then grab a vibrant dinner in Old Town. A highlight would be a morning of yoga and wine at Aridus Winery in Scottsdale, followed by exploring the cool art and energy of the Roosevelt Row Arts District. A day trip to Sedona for its iconic red rocks and scenic hikes is a must. During the cooler months (November through April), we’d absolutely enjoy the unique combination of Relaxation Yoga at The Cellar’s patio, and spend a morning at Yoga followed by browsing one of the bustling Farmers Markets in Downtown Chandler or Ahwatukee. We’d also fit in some invigorating outdoor time, perhaps a hike for amazing city views, balanced with discovering Phoenix’s fantastic dining scene and maybe a hidden speakeasy or two. It’s about creating a truly memorable experience that captures the essence of our desert city.
