We had the good fortune of connecting with Katie Angell and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Katie, do you have a favorite quote or affirmation?
My favorite quote of all time and a business motto I live by is “Do everything in love” “What’s love got to do with business?” You’re probably asking. The answer in my world is, EVERYTHING. Loving what you do is number one. The biggest thing of all. If you do not love what you do, how can you do everything in love? In my business, it’s not a “whats in it for me?” situation. I immediately get to lead with love. I get to make my clients feel loved, I get to spread love on my business page, I get to show kindness to people I’ve never met and can I just tell you how amazing it feels? I know for a lot- if not most of us, that it’s not always easy to act in love because there’s always the risk of being hurt. It’s definitely not easy. But the outcome is overwhelmingly incredible. Living in love and leading with love is one of the biggest keys to happiness in my opinion. It’s the key to abundance, It’s the key to inner peace, It’s the key to blessings. Everything that I do, can be done in love. I can apply makeup in love. I can help a homeless person in love. I can influence the world in love. I can spend time with my family in love. It’s an effect that starts from the inside and pours out, Like happiness. To do everything in love is also a reminder to me of those things that I can’t do if I desire to live by this; I cannot envy in love. I cannot hate in love. I cannot be angry in love. I cannot be selfish in love. I always want my life and my business to reflect and radiate love. It sounds easy… but I don’t always get it right. It’s almost impossible to do everything in love when someone is doing you wrong. Sometimes we get upset, angry, envious, resentful, etc. It’s all normal human feelings and it happens to the best of us. But it’s how we ACT on those feelings that will make all the difference in the world. “Do everything in love” Can also mean- think before you speak or act. Understand your motivation for doing something of acting a certain way before you actually follow through on it. The more consistent you become in doing that, the more easier it will be to correct your thoughts and actions so you are doing everything in love. The biggest thing I have to remind myself of is even if we do the bigger thing, we act of out of love, we have pure intentions… what comes after that isn’t up to us. Not everyone will return that love. If I continue to live my life in love, lead in love and run my business in love I can go to bed peacefully at the end of everyday, replenish my soul and wake up to do it all again the next day. My hope for this world is that we can all consciously lead with love, in all that we do. We have the chance every single day to be a light to another soul. So let’s help one another, because success isn’t about how high we climb, It’s about how many we bring with us along the way.

I am a professional makeup artist. I specialize in bridal makeup but I do all sorts of events from Boudoir to prom/date nights, etc. My artistry has really allowed me to pour my heart into what I do. I am thankful for a career that allows me to be who I am and express myself through all of my work.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Giving 100% credit to the big man upstairs. For giving me strength, guidance and courage. For blessing me with a heart that’s capable of all the love I have to give. For setting me on a path to chase my dreams. I also give credit to my family. They are my biggest support system behind everything that I do and they are truly what keeps me going. And my clients- I truly couldn’t do it without you. Thank you for choosing me and trusting me with all of your life’s special moments.
