We had the good fortune of connecting with Kimberly Korman and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kimberly, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
Our business is based on these 4 pillars (Faith, Family, Fitness & Finance). I have always been a person of Faith and Family and as I have gotten older and become more wise with business I have learned that it is important to teach others (especially the younger generation) to always put their Faith and Family first. I believe everything in moderation, Rome wasn’t built in a day so thats where the balance comes in.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Our company is BFL (Built For Life). What sets us apart from everyone else is that we do an FLS (Financial Life Strategy) for free, we educate for free. I am most proud of all of the families that we have helped educated and protect. We have overcome lots of things during the learning process while building a team and working with clients.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would absolutely take my friend to Iron Rooster & Miss Shirleys in Annapolis for breakfast. As for dinners we would go to VIta Taco, Lemongrass & Tsunami. Our day would also consist of some awesome Maryland Crabs at Harris Crab House or Suicide Bridge.

As for entertainment we would go on a hike at Great Falls, head to the beach at Bethany or Rehoboth and visit one of the local breweries or wineries. Before heading home we would stop and shop at the Tanger Outlets and grab some ice cream at Vanderwinds or Sugardoodles which is fresh from the farm.

We would go skiing if it were Winter or White Water Rafting in West Virginia if it was Summer Time. A little zip lining might be in the plans.

The Cherry Blossoms are great if the weather is good and its always fun to check out all of the museums in DC.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
So my husband Bill Korman deserves this shoutout. Bill is a retired Navy Chief (Hospital Corpsman) and has spent his prior life serving our great country. When Bill got out of the Navy his desire and love to help and educate people was still present in his heart. Bill spends his time educating people of all ages about finances and how to make money, save money and get out of debt. Bill teaches them how the rich and the wealthy invest and use their money for their future.

Our son Zane also deserves recognition because he has learned the principles that we teach each and every day about money and using the 168 game.
