We had the good fortune of connecting with Krish Tyagi and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Krish, how does your business help the community?
Hi! My name is Krish, and I co-founded a nonprofit called Connect2Health – a 501(3) © with my brother to help people—especially those who are underserved, uninsured, or experiencing homelessness—get access to healthcare and the basic things they need to stay healthy.

We work with community-based organizations and nonprofits to give out kits filled with food, water, masks, first aid supplies, and even naloxone to help people in emergencies. We support people who are sick, homeless, or can’t afford doctor visits or medicine. So far, we’ve helped over 9,200 people across five countries!

We’ve packed meals for hungry kids, given out hygiene kits and masks during COVID, and even helped set up free health check-up events for seniors who can’t afford to see a doctor.

Connect2Health is all about kindness and helping everyone live a healthier life—no matter who they are or where they come from.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Sure! So, I’m Krish, and I co-founded a nonprofit called Connect2Health with my older brother. We started it to help people who don’t have easy access to doctors, food, or basic things like water, masks, and first aid. A lot of the people we help are homeless or don’t have health insurance, and we just want to make their lives a little easier and healthier.

What makes our work special is that it’s not just about giving stuff—it’s about caring. We make “kindness kits” and “health kits” and even help with big things like free health checkups for seniors who can’t go to the doctor. One time, we helped pack enough meals to feed kids for a whole year! That made me feel really proud.

Getting to do all this hasn’t always been easy. I’m still in school, and sometimes it’s hard to balance homework, sports, and volunteering. But I’ve learned that even kids can make a big difference if they care enough and try. I’ve also learned that teamwork is everything—you need support from your family, friends, and community.

The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that kindness is powerful. You don’t have to be a grown-up or have a lot of money to help someone. Just showing up and trying your best can mean a lot.

What I want people to know about Connect2Health is that it started from the heart. We may be young, but we’re serious about making the world a little healthier and a lot kinder. And I hope other kids see our story and realize they can do something meaningful too—no matter how small it seems.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend came to visit for a whole week, I’d want to show them all my favorite things! First, we’d hang out at my house, play video games, eat pizza, and watch a movie with popcorn—just to kick things off. Then we’d go to the Phoenix Zoo because the animals there are super cool (the monkeys are my favorite), and afterwards we’d grab ice cream from Sweet Republic—it’s the best! Another day, I’d take them to the Arizona Science Center where we can do fun experiments and check out the planetarium. I love space stuff! We’d eat burgers at Shake Shack after that. We’d also go on a morning hike at Papago Park or Camelback Mountain and maybe paddle boat at Tempe Town Lake. It’s tiring, but really fun, and we’d definitely stop at In-N-Out Burger after. One of the most special things we’d do is volunteer with Connect2Health, the nonprofit I co-founded with my brother—we could help make kindness kits or pack food for people who need it. I’d love to share that experience with my friend. We’d also spend a whole day at Jake’s Unlimited or Main Event playing arcade games and doing laser tag and bumper cars.

Finally, on the last day, we’d go to Scottsdale Quarter to chill, get boba tea, and then watch the sunset from Dobbins Lookout—it’s really pretty and peaceful up there. I’d make sure we had the best week ever and tons of awesome memories!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to give a big shoutout to my older brother, Aditya! He’s the one who helped me start Connect2Health and always encourages me to dream big and help others. He teaches me about health and fairness and includes me in everything, even when it’s hard work. I’ve learned so much from watching him care about people and take action.

I also want to thank my parents—they support everything we do and drive us to all our events, even when it’s really early or really hot outside. And a huge thank you to the people at the nonprofits we work with—they’re super kind and show me how teamwork can help lots of people. I’ve met so many cool volunteers who inspire me to keep going.

And I have to say thank you to my school teachers too, for always encouraging me and letting me share our work with my class. They made me feel like even as a kid, I can make a big difference.

So yeah—thank you to all of them! I wouldn’t be doing any of this without their support.
