Meet Layla Ulsh | Regional Manager of the Arizona Branch of Create For Kids

We had the good fortune of connecting with Layla Ulsh and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Layla, what do you attribute your success to?
Every member of Create for Kids is very dedicated and hard working. We have worked very hard, especially the parliament members based in Florida, to build Create for Kids into what it is today. We are still expanding and pushing ourselves, and I think that that is the main reason that we have been able to do everything that we have.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I have yet to choose a career path, as I am still in high school and deciding, but I am a student. I am currently in the IB program and working hard to push myself in an academic atmosphere but also outside of school. As everyone in Create for Kids are also students, we are all very dedicated to the goals of the program and are readily available to help all of our volunteers. Create for Kids is a student run organization, and each of us are just as committed as any adult.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My favorite places in my area would definitely have to be the grocery store-AJ’s-, The Poisoned Pen, and the Public Library. I love going to these places with friends and family and would definitely recommend!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would definitely like my shoutout to go to Suma Gadde, who founded Create for Kids. She is a high schooler just like me and has worked very hard to carry all of us this far. This organization would nothing without her.
