Meet Lea-Sophie Schürmann | Traveler and hard worker

We had the good fortune of connecting with Lea-Sophie Schürmann and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lea-Sophie, we’d love to hear what makes you happy.
I always enjoy the little m moments in life, where you bond with your friends, make adventures or you can just be yourself around people. When I have bad moments in my life, I just breathe 3 time and thing back to the little moments. That’s why you can always find a smile at my face.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Right now I’m working at Disney and doing a cultural representative program, where I present my culture and my home. We were traditional German clothes and sell Beer and Pretzels. We also have a restaurant where im working in right now as a server, so I’m taking the drink orders and make sure that when people have any allege friendly requests that they know what they can eat from our buffet and what not. I also love to travel and love taking pictures along the way.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Our road trip started in Phoenix where we went to the Superstition Mountains. Where we saw the beauty of nature, but couldn’t enjoy it to long because it was way to hot on that day. We also saw to Goldfield Gold Mine that day, where we got a tour thought the old Gold Mines with a lot of knowledge about the city and the history from our tour guide. Along the way to the Grand Canyon we stayed at the Wander Camp, which is a clamping camp where you get your own tent with a bed and everything, we enjoyed watching the sunset and the whole atmosphere. The next day we arrived at the Grand Canyon where we did the Mile-and-a-Half Hike. It was so beautiful to see the extent of Mother Natur.
We drove around the Grand Canyon a bit to get to know every side of it, because the Grand Canyon is so bit that every part where you go looks different.
After that we drove trough Tuba City, a beautiful land scape, which looks so unrealistic that when you drive trough it you feel like you are in a Movie.
From Grand Canyon trough Tuba City we made it to the Horseshoe Bent, where we washed the beautiful sun set where we also saw Dust Devils. But be careful when you go there because the wind is very strong so the sand will get thrown into your eyes.
At the night time we drove trough the Marble Canyon where light pulsation is, so we could easily enjoy watching the stars. It was breath taking how much stars we could see.
We made our way all the way over to Sedona. One of the beautifulest cities I have ever seen.
We also made a stop to see the Majestic View of the Red Rocks of Sedona, a must do when you are there.
After a short trip over there we went to Bearizona, a wild life park with, bears, wolfs, mules and Couhes, burros and a lot more. It’s mostly a drive trough park but you can also wander around and pet some goats or watch a bird show or otters. We also got to know a lot about the animals along the way.
On our way back to Phoenix we stoped at the Montezuma Castle National Monument, which was quite cool to see because it looked so unrealistic. I couldn’t really imagine that people were actually living the thousands of years ago.
Also a must do when you go to Arizona is In-and-Out they have the best burgers I have ever eaten. It taste so fresh and so different than all the fast food places. Its something you have to try.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I did my roadtrip with my boyfriend Leon. He is very supportive in every kind of way. Im doing my Disney Cultural Representative program for 1 year right now, and he is still in Germany, waiting for me to come back. I told him that I always wanted to go to America after school and he was just supportive all the way. It’s kind of difficult to have a long distance relationship but we both believe in this relationship so it works out. 🙂
