We had the good fortune of connecting with Lili Breton and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lili, what inspires you?
My 8-year-old son and his sensitivity and the emotions I feel when I see him. The spontaneity of the present moments inspires me. For me, silence and moments in between the shots are magic. The subtlety that suddenly springs up and its reflection in a photograph inspires me.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I describe myself as an artist. I believe in sensitivity and subtlety as a way of creating; I’m a lover of the empty, simple and natural. My photography has explored various spaces, such as social and documentary, until today, my main focus is an editorial lifestyle captured in my own defined and consistent style.

My Images evoke emotions, places that tell dreams, and spaces where the void allows viewers to explore their feelings.

The path was always to create projects with people who identified with my style in a natural way, where we both trusted the result.

While still pushing the boundaries of my creativity.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Easy, the best place to spend the day in the Caribbean is at sea, eating ceviche and paddle boarding during sunset. But I will always take my loved ones to the beach. It is where I most enjoy being.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I am grateful to myself for believing in me and for never losing a vital part of who I am.

I’m grateful with my son for being the most inspiring source in life , with my family and friends for their support always on my career and for every person who has inspired me and support me . I’m specially thankful with Patricia savareze , Italian photographer who taught me and help me to understand natural light and help me to perceive the magic of photography since I was little , I knew that I had a lot to say and my photography helped  me express big part of who am I .

My gift as a photographer is the connection with the vulnerability of my subject, converting them into beautiful reflections of a moment. I appreciate being alive and in the moment
