We had the good fortune of connecting with Lindsay Soriano and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lindsay, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I’ve always loved photography. From the days when I had a little point and shoot film camera and would take photos of my stuffed animals, to moving up to a point and shoot digital camera and documenting my international travels. Even with those less than ideal cameras I’d challenge myself to take a photo every day for a year to document the world around me.

In 2016 after learning my husband and I were infertile and we’d need to have medical help to have a child, I needed something as a distraction. That’s when I invested in my first DSLR during a Black Friday deal. Having so many new things to learn, with all the features on my new DSLR and shooting in manual mode, was just as helpful as using the camera to find the beauty in the world during a very difficult time. I took photos of landscapes, nature, my dogs and participated in a creative weekly challenge that helped me develop my skills.

After finally having my miracle babies, I found so much joy in capturing the way the way they change and grow. I also realized that the connection I have with my children and my family is a precious gift and I wanted to freeze that connection in beautiful art for other families. Once I realized that, I knew I had to share my creativity and art with others by starting this business.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My art is all about capturing authentic connection. I focus on the little, meaningful moments between family members—like the way a child holds your hand or snuggles into your hug—rather than trying to perfect a pose. I want my work to feel warm, full of love, and true to each family’s unique story. Whether it’s giggles, snuggles, or the beauty of golden light in the desert, I’m here to document the real emotions and interactions that make up your life.

I’m especially proud of how I capture children’s personalities and showcase their natural charm. Getting here took lots of practice—learning my camera inside and out, developing my editing style, and refining how I work with families to make them feel at ease. It wasn’t always easy, but I embrace challenges as opportunities to learn and grow. When faced with self-doubt, I remind myself to stay focused on my art and not be distracted by what other photographers doing.

Along the way, I’ve realized that art is constantly evolving, and there’s always more to learn. That’s what keeps me excited and passionate about what I do.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My idea of fun and exciting things to do in the city is a little different these days, but here’s what we’d do with my BFF and her kids.

Go to a splash pad. Either at Desert Ridge or Scottsdale Quarter because they’re close to home and have places to grab snacks and drinks!

Eat at Wildflower. We love this local chain. The kids love the mac and cheese, fruit and cookie and the sandwiches and salads are so yummy.

Plus, Wildflower is right across the street from one of our favorite places, the McCormick-Stillman Railroad park. We love riding the train and the carousel and playing on their awesome and shaded playground and the fort!

The Children’s Museum of Phoenix is another of our go-to favorites. There are activities for kids of all ages and with three levels to play on we can spend hours there!

One night we’d definitely order dinner from Sakana Sushi in Scottsdale to enjoy at home!

If the weather’s nice we’d go to one of our local hiking trails at either the 40th St Trailhead or Apache Wash Trailhead. Both offer easy flat hikes that are perfect for kiddos.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’m so grateful to my family for their support and especially to mom for her tax expertise as a CPA. I also owe development of my creative style to several mentors, including Bri Viglianco, Meg Loeks, Elena S. Blair, Amanda Highbarger and Mackenzie Pudenz. As well as my photography business mentor Elena S. Blair.
