We had the good fortune of connecting with Lisa Hall and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lisa, what is the most important factor behind your success?
There are many contributing factors behind our success. The main ingredient in our formula for success has been leveraging my experience of over 20 years in the food industry. Working with gold-standard, industry innovators such as Starbucks, The Cheesecake Factory, Wolfgang Puck and even McDonald’s Corporation was very inspirational. I spent many hours in R&D kitchens across the country with top chefs creating ideas and new, fresh restaurant quality formulas. Looking back, it was an amazing career. However, my heart was always passionate about launching my own company and brands. To create a sustainable company, top-notch quality ingredients reign supreme. During my tenure in the food industry, it was always devastating to see an industry leader cut costs and cheapen ingredients. The inevitable always happened, their status as top-dog took a tumbling fall off the leader board. I learned by watching the different restaurant chains and how they managed their food costs. My rule: never ever cut your quality, it will ultimately hurt your bottom line!

I will also say, a major secret to small business success is simple: be consistent. Whatever you do well, do it consistently. Don’t ping pong all over the place. Build that “Great Wall of China,” one block at a time with focus and steadiness. It’s amazing how replicating successful, daily habits weekly can transform your business. Consistency anchors your business in stability and success!

Finally, and the most important contributing factor to our success model has been faith. Find out what your God-given gifts are and pursue your strengths. Then, have faith that God will guide each step. A wise woman once said, keeping moving forward and God will do the rest!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
In addition to working in the food business, seven years ago, I launched a Tea Blog. The Blog focused on researching and sharing top, medicinal teas from around the world. Through this process, I was able to explore and work with different medicinal flowers. I was blown away by the health benefits of wild harvested, medicinal flowers. This experience was another contributing factor to our success. Just like using top quality ingredients in the restaurant business, I believe creating products with health benefits is the complete package! Our company’s mission is simple: create personal care products with clean and pure ingredients to deliver long term results!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Arizona is an absolutely beautiful state! Southern Arizona with it’s crown jewel, the Sonoran Desert is truly unique. One of the best ways to visit the area and see the scope of the region is to drive up Mount Lemmon also known as “Sky Island.” There are layers of ecosystems, starting with the desert all the way to a emerald-laced forest at the top! At the top, Mount Lemmon is over 9,000 feet high. The views span all the way to Mexico and across the valley to other mountain ranges. On the way up, we would definitely stop at “Windy Point” to check out these breathtaking views. Mid-way to the top, during winter-time, there is a spot known as the “Frozen Waterfall.” We would of course, stop and soak in the beauty of ice crystals coming off of the cliff forming an eye catching frozen waterfall! At the view top, we would take a ride on the ski lift in Summerhaven. Skiing in Southern Arizona is counterintuitive and definitely a site to behold. From there we would enjoy lunch on the patio of the famous, “Iron Door Restaurant.” The food is scratch-made and captures the essence of a “ski lodge” experience. Driving to top of Mount Lemmon is always relaxing and purifying to the mind!

Yes, my parents were both instrumental in forming and launching my company! A huge Shoutout to my Mom and Dad! Thank you both for your countless hours listening to my ideas and providing honest feedback. Mom, I am forever debted to you for trying so many different product formulas and providing priceless direction. And Dad, I appreciate the finance and accounting expertise you provided. You helped me lay the accounting framework to my company for years to come. Lastly, to my son, your passion and dedication to life is nothing short of inspirational. Love you all so very much.
