We had the good fortune of connecting with Lisa Peer & Katharina Larcher and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lisa and Katharina, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
At first, we wanted to develop a simple product that would be suitable for the masses and would have to be bought again and again. However, while we were creating this product, the process caught us like this. We put a lot of effort into it, so we said we want to create a great brand out of it and launch it accordingly.

What should our readers know about your business?
Who would have thought of seeing two blonde powerbabes when hitting right to AAKSEL? Katharina and Lisa are the brains, standing behind AAKSEL. Both of them realized the pain, men need to go through, when choosing the right underwear. So they decided to develop the most comfortable and classy boxer briefs for their boys.

The product they created would been known as AAKSEL, what stands both for lifestyle as well as comfort.

On the one hand, we believe that every man deserves underwear that suits his type. Strong. Robust. Durable. Just like men are. If you spice up these product properties with the fine eye of a woman, great things are about to come. Elegant, stylish underwear that prepares the man for every situation. Whether business, sport or leisure.

But not only style and comfort are important to the founders. Also careful handling of resources and people. Only organic cotton, which is harvested and processed fairly, is used for production. In addition, the processing factories in Istanbul are subject to GOTS certification, which also ensures fair working conditions and responsible production in further processing.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Innsbruck is a magical combination of incredible-Alpine landscapes and picturesque city sites for locals and visitors both to explore and take in. Be that as it may, there are parts of the city that Innsbruck residents wish they could keep under wraps, and so do we. But for shoutoutinterviews, we will reveal some of those places.

Lets start with Cafe Munding. Although Vienna is very much the ‘capital’ of coffeehouse culture, famed for its traditional and beloved establishments, Innsbruck has some beautifully well-preserved joints to discover. Munding, located in the heart of the Old Town, is a fine example—a perfectly quaint setting in which to enjoy some classic Austrian cuisine and one that the locals probably wish they could keep hush hush. The apple strudel is a must-try.

Seegrube.
Innsbruck is a champion of terrific views. For those who do not enjoy hiking and gliding is a little too dicey, the cable car offers a great option to experience the scenic delights surrounding the city. Swooping across the country’s largest nature park, Karwendel, visitors can enjoy an uncompromised, panoramic scene of the complex landscapes below. Designed by architect Zaha Hadid, whose work includes the Bergisel Olympic Ski Jump, the car picks people up from the Old Town and transcends them 6,560 feet (around 2,000 meters) up into the clouds in around 20 minutes.

Crystal World Swarovski…This bizarre and intriguing site, located a short distance from the city centre, is an underground lair of all things that shine. The Innsbruck Swarovski Crystal World is a museum and shop that was created in 1995 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Austrian-based company. Unusual on the inside and out, the glittering eyes of the giant glare out from the greenery and the underground chambers are a treasure chest of splendor.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Our shoutout goes out to all the power women out there who are confident in themselves. Anyone who knows their own worth and power is capable of doing great things for themselves and for society.
