We had the good fortune of connecting with Lucy Robinson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lucy, what is the most important factor behind your success?
For me, it all starts with mindset. In a business-like real estate, people often focus on memorizing scripts or following formulas, but I’ve found that the real key to success is how you show up mentally and emotionally. Working on my mindset has helped me stay consistent, push through challenges, and stay grounded through all the ups and downs.

I also believe that authenticity and honesty go a long way, especially in sales. People can feel when you’re being real with them, and I think that’s what builds true trust. I’ve never tried to be someone I’m not. I work hard, I care deeply about my clients, and I lead with transparency. That’s what I think has made the biggest difference in my business.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
As a full-time real estate agent in Southern Arizona, I specialize in helping clients navigate major life transitions. Whether they’re relocating, moving locally, upsizing, downsizing, or purchasing new construction. I’m known for being a strong negotiator and a steady advocate for my clients, always working to protect their interests and help them make smart, confident decisions.

What truly sets me apart is how much I care. I’m not transactional. I build real relationships. I listen closely, communicate clearly, and approach every challenge with a calm, solutions-first mindset. I want my clients to feel supported and confident every step of the way.

I didn’t have a big network or a background in sales when I started. I built my business from the ground up through consistency, resilience, and a lot of personal growth. There were times I doubted myself or felt completely overwhelmed, but I never gave up. I kept showing up, kept learning, and kept working on my mindset, and that shift has made all the difference.

Being named one of the Top 60 agents in the Southwest Region by NAHREP was a huge honor. It reminded me that when you lead with heart and stay committed, the results follow.

The biggest lessons I’ve learned? Stay authentic. Lead with integrity. And always put people before transactions. I’m not here just to “sell” real estate—I’m here to guide, advocate, and help people make decisions that truly serve them. That’s the heart of my business, and that’s what I want the world to know about me.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend came to visit, I’d definitely plan a mix of fun local spots and toddler-friendly activities because let’s be real, if she’s anything like me, she’s probably bringing her little one too!

We’d start the week with a splash pad visit. There are some great ones in Oro Valley and Marana that are perfect for little ones to cool off and play.

A trip to the Marana Aquatic Center would definitely be on the list.

We’d probably do a mommy-and-me class at Kindermusik or My Gym (the one near Oracle and Magee is a favorite!).

We’d take a day trip up to Mt. Lemmon to enjoy the views and cooler temps and visit the San Xavier Mission — such a beautiful and peaceful spot.

We’d also make time for some good food and shopping! We’d hit a few of my favorite restaurants like The Monica, Seis Kitchen, Mi Nidito, and maybe have breakfast or brunch at Hotel Congress. And of course, we’d spend an afternoon at La Encantada — one of my favorite places to shop in Tucson — and grab a bite at North while we’re there.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d like to dedicate this shoutout to my mom. Her unexpected passing was a turning point in my life. It set me on a path of self-awareness, healing, and personal growth. Our relationship wasn’t always easy, and I carry some regrets, but I also carry the deep love and the lessons she gave me. She was always my biggest cheerleader in her own way, and when things get hard, I still hear her voice reminding me to keep going. I try to live a full, meaningful life in her honor, and that’s what fuels so much of what I do today.
I also have to give a huge thank you to my husband and kids. Real estate can be demanding and unpredictable, and their support means everything to me. Whether I’m working late, answering calls during family time, or juggling last-minute changes, they’re always so patient, understanding, and supportive. I’m deeply grateful for the love and flexibility they give me every day.
