We had the good fortune of connecting with Manny Lucero and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Manny, what do you attribute your success to?
I attribute the success I/LCG has had to three primary factors – continuous learning, passion for the work, and our team! I absolutely love the work we do, and am so passionate about creating a positive impact for our communities and clients. As we have grown, I am continuously and deeply grateful to have an incredible team who not only supports our mission, but believes in it as well. That passion and collaboration has guided us in building LCG, and we continue to learn from each other and do the best work we can for our clients. As a result, I believe our brand speaks for itself.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Lucero Consulting Group (LCG) was founded in January 2020 with the purpose of assisting small businesses and nonprofits launch, grow and thrive. Since launching, our team has worked with clients from around the country with the focus of building a more equitable community for all, where every organization can find access to resources and education. We provide a wide-array of services, including business and nonprofit consulting, marketing services, event planning, and much more. I am very proud of the fact that, whether an organization is seeking assistance in English or Spanish, our team can help. We have also partnered with several translators to assist the needs of those speaking a different language.
Running a business is certainly not easy. We work with hundreds of business owners a year and tell them the same thing. However, focusing on our services, building the right team, and working with the right partners have made our growth possible.
If there is one thing I hope folks take from our story, it would be to value your resources and time. We truly value every client we work with, every partner agency we’ve worked with, and every team member who has made our work possible. I find myself more often having to be selective with my time, and I know when someone wants to work with us, they are also investing their time with us. This is something I never take lightly.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I am a Phoenix native, so I have a lot of opinions on this! There are so many great spots in Arizona I enjoy visiting. Downtown Phoenix has so many great shops and restaurants, plus, some great entertainment – I love the comedy club there! Scottsdale Fashion Square is great for shopping, and I love the Moxies restaurant there! Great food and service. Plus, anyone visiting Arizona should visit Sedona at least for a quick trip – the views are truly magical. Also, Tucson is a short trip away and has some incredible Mexican food, and great local art shops.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My husband Pedro was instrumental in the formation of LCG, helping solidify our logo and initial services. He was working a full-time job at the time, but with LCG growing quickly. he decided to join me and build LCG. This was the best thing that could have happened! He quickly improved our operations, established tech systems for us and our clients, and was supporting client needs around the country. I am so grateful to get to spend our life together, while also getting to build our business and have a shared passion for the work we do. Pedro – thank you for being who you are!
