We had the good fortune of connecting with Marcial J. Paredes and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Marcial, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I pursued a creative career because it’s something that is so much more fulfilling to me. Creating something with my hands that others get to enjoy is very rewarding.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
We’re very excited about our business. We have so many great things happening. M&L Creative Designs is an event rental company that specializes is handcrafted pieces. We set ourselves apart by designing and building our own inventory instead of offering just the basics. We aim to take it a step further by catering to the unique needs of our customers. Everyone wants to stand out and we are here to help make that happen. We also offer custom or personalized pieces for rent or purchase. Starting this business hasn’t been easy, and now in the middle of a pandemic, it has added a little more to our plate. However, I do believe that because of it, we’re gaining so much experience and knowledge to handle whatever comes out way. In any case, it’s been a rewarding experience, and definitely a creative outlet we plan to continue growing for years to come.
Any great local spots you’d like to shoutout?
One of my favorite spots in the city to go is South Mountain. It’s right in my own backyard. I sometimes drive up just to enjoy a little quiet time and enjoy the view of the entire city. It’s also a great place to hike, though I don’t have much time to do so anymore lol.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would say that that I’m grateful for the love and support from my family and friends. Being surrounded with talented friends and family has been a great deal of inspiration as well as motivation to do something more. It’s funny that I never really noticed the influence they had on my creativity in some way until a few years ago. So yes, they definitely deserve a shout-out.
