Hi Marcial, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
Achieving a healthy work-life balance has always been a bit of a juggling act, but lately, I’ve been getting better at it. With more control over my time, I’m finding it easier to carve out moments for myself amidst the chaos of entrepreneurship. Of course, it’s still a work in progress—being my own boss means the demands can be relentless, and it’s all too easy to let work take over. But I’m learning to set boundaries and prioritize self-care, making sure I have time to enjoy life outside of work. and most importantly time with my family. It’s a fun challenge, and I’m determined to keep at it!

What should our readers know about your business?
My business, It’s a Fiesta Party Rentals, has been an incredible journey since its inception in 2019. Originally launched under a different name and business model, we faced the unprecedented challenge of the pandemic shortly after starting. In 2021, we rebranded to It’s a Fiesta Party Rentals, which marked a new chapter for us. The road hasn’t always been smooth, with continuous ups and downs, but those hurdles haven’t deterred us. What truly sets us apart is our unwavering commitment to each customer. As a small family-owned business, we relate to our customers and understand the significance of their special events. Many of our customers are on a first-name basis with us, knowing they can call and be well taken care of. I’m incredibly proud of seeing this business grow from zero, year after year, while continuously learning and adapting. The early days were tough, with a slow start and even a dead stop due to factors beyond our control. But by shifting gears instead of giving up, and with a lot of patience, self-motivation, and perseverance, we overcame those challenges. What I want the world to know is this: if you stick with something long enough, you will see change and progress in anything that you do.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If a friend were visiting for a week, despite being more of a homebody these days, I’d make sure to show them the best our area has to offer. We’d start by exploring the vibrant nightlife in downtown Phoenix, which is always buzzing with energy. For a dose of nature, we could hike the beautiful trails at Camelback Mountain or South Mountain, both offering stunning views of the valley. I’d also suggest taking some day trips outside the city to discover hidden gems—there’s so much to explore beyond the urban landscape. Even though I don’t go out much myself, these experiences would make for an unforgettable visit!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I couldn’t be more grateful for the incredible support system that surrounds me. A huge shoutout to my loving wife, who supports me in her own amazing way, always knowing how to keep me grounded. She has a certain way to get my head out of the clouds. To my extended family for believing in me from the start. My father, who is always there as my helping hand, ready to assist at a moment’s notice. And to my kids, They are my biggest motivation and constant source of joy. Together, they all make this journey not just possible, but wonderfully rewarding and fun!
