We had the good fortune of connecting with Marcus Heckman and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Marcus, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I wanted to start my own business because I want to bring different flavors and styles to the table. I also want to be my own boss so I can do thing’s how I want them done.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business is called FryAholics I bring fresh restaurant ingredients to loaded fries with flavors people never thought of putting on fries. I’m excited about where the business is going. My business is growing every day and the feedback from the city has been amazing.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Well places we would go to eat at would be Prep an Pastry, Floras market run, Commoner & Co, and Sullivans Steakhouse. And for drinks I would go to Cobra where we could play games and drink at the same time. I also love going to Mr.Heads bar they always have great vibes.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My wife Marisela Encinas she is amazing. She holds it down at home while pushing and supporting me in every way. She is my other half I wouldn’t be where I’m at without her. My wife and my son Legend are my motivation they are who I do it for.
