Meet Marisa Ikpoh | Healer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Marisa Ikpoh and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Marisa, how does your business help the community?
Marisa Moments helps the community and the world by reminding people of their divinity and right to be happy. Which is a fun way of saying… we are more than the trauma(s) we’ve experienced.
Deep down, everyone wants to be at peace with their past, in order to have an abundant future. My efforts show those that are ready/willing to change, the door to their personal power as it relates to affecting change. I do this by sharing channeled messages, personal experience and other divinely connected means of expression, that bring clarity to otherwise lofty notions behind healing.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
When it comes to Marisa Moments, I have to say that I’m most excited to see where the future takes me! My craft is not commonplace, in that I am not scripted. More often than not, I don’t know if/when I will receive, “messages from the universe”, that I use to share realistic translations of what healing looks like.
I’ve always experienced things that I couldn’t explain. Many of these experiences could be deemed as certifiable to the modern world, which is why I began this journey with numerous years of therapy. I didn’t know then, but I was learning how to process my past in order to make space for my present and future.
My life has been far from easy. From losing my father at the young age of six-weeks old, to nearly dying after giving birth to my now three year old twins (due to 8-liter blood loss and subsequent surgery)… I have been forged in the hottest fires. However, it is through all of these experiences that I am able to connect and share truths based on facts and experience versus assumption.
My past, my pain wasn’t for naught and neither is yours. Marisa Moments is the reflection and reminder you need to step into your divinity.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My favorite things to do include calm, peace and selective solitude. Brunch, Uber Eats and a good movie?… it may not sound exciting, but it’s the bee’s knees to someone that is extremely sensitive to all of the energies around them.
Oh, and let’s not forget to add a good belly dance, hula and/or zumba class to the mix! Energy in motion is a great form of meditation for those (like myself) that haven’t quite perfected the art of sitting in silence.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My husband, Christopher, along with numerous others, have played an integral role in my character back story. He met me when I was the equivalent to a hardened lump of clay and stood by my side as the Universe took its time to break me down, return me to a moldable being and reform me into the grand creation we are all capable of becoming. His love and fortitude was a living example of what healthy love was and could be. (Not to mention, he’s the other half of creating four amazing daughters… which is pretty stellar in itself.)
