We had the good fortune of connecting with Matt Murray and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Matt, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I started my business because I had personally experienced the incredible mental health benefits of cold plunges and sauna therapy. After years of incorporating these practices into my life and seeing how profoundly they improved my well-being, I felt called to share that gift with others. I wanted to create a space where people could experience the same healing and clarity I had found.

During this time, I chatted daily with my dad about these benefits. He had recently retired and had some free time, and together, we realized this was the perfect opportunity to bring our shared vision to life.

I also knew that if I didn’t take the leap now, the fear of regret would stay with me. The possibility of failure was real, but the possibility of never trying was even scarier. It was a risk I believed was worth taking—not just for myself, but for the people I hoped to help.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
At Rejuvenate Mind Body, our mission is to empower individuals to achieve optimal health and well-being through innovative and holistic therapies. We offer a unique combination of cold plunge, sauna, red light therapy, and other evidence-based wellness treatments in a space designed for both transformation and connection. Our focus isn’t just on the therapy itself—it’s on the full experience, from the moment you walk in the door to the way you feel long after you leave.

What sets us apart is our deep belief in natural healing over reliance on pharmaceuticals whenever possible. While we respect the role medicine can play, we’ve seen firsthand how therapies like cold plunge and sauna can help reduce stress, improve sleep, ease inflammation, and support mental health—without the side effects. We want people to feel empowered to support their bodies’ own healing abilities.

We also believe in community as a part of healing. We’re not just a place to “book a session”—we’re a space where people encourage each other, share their wellness journeys, and build real relationships.

We officially opened on February 1, 2025, and the response has been beyond anything we imagined. Seeing our first members come back week after week, sharing how their stress levels dropped, their sleep improved, or their mood lifted—that’s what makes us proudest.

Owning a small business has been far from easy. From navigating permits and construction delays to balancing the financial realities of a start-up, there were moments it felt like we were never going to open. But we overcame each obstacle through persistence, resourcefulness, and leaning on the support of our family, friends, and early customers.

The biggest lessons I’ve learned? Stay adaptable, celebrate small wins, and never lose sight of why you started. The challenges are temporary, but the impact you can make on someone’s life is lasting.

What I want the world to know about Rejuvenate Mind Body is simple: we’re here to help you take care of yourself in a powerful and sustainable way. Whether you come for physical recovery, mental clarity, or community connection, you’ll leave feeling better than when you walked in—naturally.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’d make sure we packed in plenty of adventure, great food, and time to relax. We’d kick things off at The Wandering Tortoise, a dog-friendly craft beer spot where we could hang out on the patio and grab dinner from the Transfer Station food wagon out back. One morning we’d take on Camelback Mountain early to beat the heat and catch the views, then follow it up with a recovery day at Rejuvenate Mind Body so he could try the sauna and cold plunge I’m always talking about. We’d spend a full day out on Lake Pleasant—boating, swimming, and hitting the giant slide for some adventure. We’d also spend time exploring local coffee spots I love, like Gold Brew (right next to Rejuvenate), Cartel, and Provision.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My shoutout goes first to my dad, who has believed in me my whole life and is now my business partner. His guidance, ability to teach me, and willingness to jump in and help with anything have been huge in making this dream a reality. Working alongside him has been one of the most rewarding parts of this journey.

Right after that, my wife, Dana, deserves all the credit in the world. She’s been by my side through every job, career change, and now this leap into business ownership. Her love, encouragement, and unwavering belief in me have been a constant source of strength. She’s the one who reminded me it’s okay to take risks, to bet on myself, and to not always follow the ordinary path.

I also have to give credit to my family as a whole—their support, excitement, and willingness to cheer me on has meant the world. Without them, Rejuvenate Mind Body wouldn’t just look different—it might not exist at all.
