We had the good fortune of connecting with Megan Jore and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Megan, how do you define success?
I define success as doing something you enjoy, that affords you a comfortable life and also helps to improve or better the lives of others.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I graduated from college in 2007 with my nursing degree. For the first 10 years of my career I was working in the intensive care unit of a hospital. My brain was very science oriented. I would give certain medications with the expectation of certain outcomes and was very methodical in my process. When I transitioned from medical professional to business owner my science brain sometimes got in the way. Paralysis by analysis was the biggest obstacle I had to recognize and learn to overcome. Surrounding myself with a team of people who all lend different strengths helped me to feel comfortable to more quickly adapt to the ever evolving business challenges.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Being a navy brat, I have lived in quite a few places and Scottsdale is by far my favorite place! I love that we have so many cool things (and even different climates) right at our fingertips. If my best friend was visiting I would make sure we had a couple days up in Sedona. Get a good hike in, a round of golf at Sedona Golf Resort and would be sure to grab a few drinks on the patio at Amara. Once back in Scottsdale I would have a spa day scheduled at the Fairmont Princess, finished with dinner and drinks at La Hacienda. And who can visit Scottsdale without at least checking out Old Town! My favorite dinner spots in Old Town are Mastro’s City Hall and Toca Madera and with so many bars and clubs to chose from it is hard to pick my favs. Good news for any friend of mine is that hangovers don’t last long when your best friend owns an IV company!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to dedicate my shoutout to my husband, Lincoln. He believes in me more than I believe in myself most times and has encouraged me to become more of a risk taker in life and business. His ecouragement has led to some of my biggest successes.
