Hi Michael J, what do you attribute your success to?
“I attribute the success of both myself and my company, Outrageous Records, to the delicate balance between strategic planning and lifestyle adjustments. This equilibrium has been pivotal in maintaining a stable career trajectory. Additionally, my active engagement in politics adds depth to my professional endeavors.
Achieving this balance is no simple feat—it requires unwavering consistency and dedicated effort. Methodical planning, coupled with effective communication and garnering support from those around you, is paramount. Family support my mother, my grandmother, and my two uncles along with my brother, and my sister. always were there for me which made me want to do something big something good for us all but this balance in particular, is indispensable; without it, the risks inherent in entrepreneurial pursuits become untenable.
My journey to success demanded sacrifices. I relinquished the distractions of social engagements and vices, focusing instead on my vision for Outrageous Records Inc. and the broader entertainment industry. This shift in lifestyle not only facilitated sound decision-making but also reinforced my commitment to my Principles and Values.
Belief in one’s brand is non-negotiable. It underpins every decision and action, driving both personal and professional growth. In my case, establishing Outrageous Records Inc was not just a business venture but a platform to enrich the music, acting, and entertainment landscape. We are also an entertainment industry company.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m not just an entrepreneur. My primary focus is acting, where I bring characters to life through a deep understanding of storytelling and a commitment to my craft. Every role I take on allows me to explore different facets of human experience, and I approach each project with the same level of passion and dedication. Beyond acting, I am the CEO of Outrageous Records, a record label dedicated to pushing creative boundaries in the music industry. This dual career in entertainment—both in front of the camera and behind the scenes—fuels my drive to continuously evolve and make an impact in both industries. I started out like every other entrepreneur or business-minded individual. I wasn’t a genius, and I wasn’t perfect. However, the choices I made and the life experiences I had to deal with were instrumental. I made the best out of every situation, used my experiences to my advantage, learned from my mistakes, and carved a better picture. Coming from a place where everyone told me “no be realistic that’s not your life,” I faced significant challenges. Although my family always supported me, we didn’t have these types of expectations. Fast forward three years, and my business has sparked a revolution. It took me five years to make my dream come true to manifest my affirmations I transitioned from a limited mindset to being perceived as a highly notable person.
This transformation wasn’t easy; it involved significant sacrifices, including dropping the ball and picking it back up, not quitting falling and getting right back up!
I mentioned sacrifice because it made this journey incredibly hard. Balancing a social life with maintaining a business is tough. I used to work at H&M as a floor attendant, where I enjoyed interacting with people and understanding style. I also worked in fast food restaurants such as Jim and Rob’s McDonald’s Taco Bell even Goodwill. After working so much in my life, I decided I wanted to start my own business.
The one thing I want people to know about my brand is that I never gave up. Even when there was nobody who believed in me, I believed in myself. That belief is all it took because, eventually, it happened.
In conclusion, I want to emphasize that daily affirmations and a deep sense of admiration for my journey have been the cornerstones of manifesting my dreams into reality. Everything I’ve envisioned, I’ve brought into fruition through sheer determination and belief in myself. Now, at 34, my life is a testament to the power of positive thinking and unwavering focus. People can Google me, see the tangible results of my hard work, and recognize that I’m the real deal. My life is filled with joy, love for my animals, and deep gratitude for my family. I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world—this is the life I’ve always dreamed of, and I’m living it to the fullest.
It’s incredible how a simple thought can evolve into something tangible, something that not only exists in the world but also generates success and recognition. It took a lot of focus, persistence, and belief to turn my ideas into reality. I started with nothing but a vision in my mind, and through sheer determination, I’ve been able to bring that vision to life.
What people might not understand is how isolating the journey can be. I’ve had to distance myself from those who didn’t share my drive or vision, surrounding myself only with those who are as committed to their own success as I am to mine. It’s not just about making money or gaining recognition—it’s about proving to yourself that you can do it, that you have the power to turn your dreams into something real. This journey has been as much about personal growth as it has been about achieving external success. Now, when I look at what I’ve built, I’m reminded that with the right mindset and relentless pursuit, anything is possible.
I want to take a moment to express my deep gratitude to my mother and grandmother. We weren’t born into wealth or privilege, but that never stopped them from giving everything they had to support me and raise my siblings of three. My mother, whether she was gracing the pages of a lowrider magazine or working in the entertainment industry alongside people like Randy Haas, always found ways to provide and to inspire. It’s those little things that made a big difference in shaping who I am today.
But I know it wasn’t easy—it took time, sacrifice, and a lot of struggle. Now, my mission is to give back to them. I want to put my mother in a mansion, to create a space where our family can live comfortably, free from the struggles we’ve endured. This journey isn’t just about me; it’s about honoring them and ensuring that our future generations live a life that reflects the hard work and perseverance of those who came before us. Thank you, Mom.
