We had the good fortune of connecting with Mo Lawani and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mo, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
After working as a floor nurse for almost 10years, the last two with covid about broke me as I know it did a lot of other people. So, when I decided to start my business, I had one goal in mind other than making money, it was and still is to help people see how valuable they are.

We wake up daily to take care of others & make things happen for our various dependents; but we forget to take care of ourselves first, so that we are equipped to take care of others.

So, at my spa “WoW Yourself”, we take every moment our clients are here seriously, we take excellent care of them regardless of what service they are here for, or what service we provide, so that they leave feeling their best, confident, shoulders up and looking fabulous. It’s incredible what a little self-care can do to our mental health and overall wellbeing.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am a Registered Nurse with almost 10 years of experience in different genres of nursing including Aesthetics & plastic surgery, so I know a thing or two about how to pamper my client from head to toe.

What separates me from other is that I do this with Passion, drive and a goal to transform people from the inside out.

Building a business brand is far from easy, so it’s been a journey, but I am tenacious and persevering, I have a vision in mind, so I remind myself of my vision & my goals daily, which propels or encourages me to keep going.

I am passionate about helping others make positive changes to their appearance while also improving their self-confidence and inner sense of wellbeing; I am passionate about changing people’s wrong or skewed perception of themselves. Hence my business name, WoW Yourself! We all have what WoW factor within us, sometimes, we just need a little redirection or reminder to really see that we are valuable.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If I had a friend visiting, we would spend days just hanging out at home, catching up with life. I am a home buddy as most of my friends are, so we would cook up a storm, have some good chardonnay handy and just hang.

On other days, I would take my friend to downtown Gilbert, there are a variety of restaurants and places to eat. We would include time to perusing the city’s streets, we would take in the fresh Arizona air daily.
Camelback mountain as well as the butterfly garden at Desert Botanicals are some of my favorite places; they are beautiful I would include those to our sightseeing days.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My success is rooted in my faith in Jesus Christ.

Also, I have two brothers and four sisters; we are extremely close and are brutally honest with each other. We have learned to encourage each other, lovingly correct each other and help each other in whatever capacity we each need. So, I want to shout out to all of them for their love and help over the years, I hope they get to see this post.

My story is not complete without the mention of my mentors, Jamie & Donna Robbins, they were there for me when I needed help with my daughter, Nursing school would have been almost impossible without them.

Finally, my daughter… this 18year old child of mine is a daughter worth more than ten thousand sons. She is kind, loving, very understanding, endearing, patient, calm, honors me, is very helpful and stands by me through thick and thin.
