Meet Nicole Kwass | Personal Stylist and Wardrobe Consultant

We had the good fortune of connecting with Nicole Kwass and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Nicole, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
We all want to be our best. I am and always have been a big believer that if you look good, you feel good. What I really mean by that, is if you feel comfortable and confident in what you are wearing, your mood is instantly improved. My goal with Styling and Wardrobe Consulting is to make every person I work with look and feel their absolute best. We are all different, we constantly evolve.
Major life events can make us re-evaluate our style choices and how we want to be perceived out in the world. I have worked with new moms, newly divorced dads, people starting new jobs, those gender transitioning, seniors as well as those facing health challenges. I make it a point to recognize that for each individual client and help them get to that place where they feel great about how they look.
No matter what the life event is, the goal for me is the same. What can I do to make you look and feel your best?
What should our readers know about your business?
My services don’t stop at styling. I also do closet edits in person and virtually. Imagine a closet that is not cluttered with things you don’t like. A closet filled with items that make you feel great. This doesn’t just mean tossing everything either. Some pieces can be repurposed or styled in a way that will bring new life to them.
I am also a valuable gifting resource. No more searching for just the right gift. I have experience with so many types of clients and I am always on top of trends or the most coveted gifts at the time. A short conversation about budget and the person receiving the gift will lead to a curated selection for you to choose from. It’s as simple as that!
Here is what I would like to see my clients take away from their experience working with me:
I love helping people create the image they would like to share with others. It makes me so happy to see the smiles on people’s faces when they feel great about how they look.
Creating a curated closet of items that they love and look forward to wearing is so important. No more opening your closet and saying I have nothing to wear!
I’d like to become an important part of their support team, someone they trust to help them get to where they’d like to be. Someone who can help them feel great about how they look. This is what excites me the most.
Working with a stylist can be surprisingly affordable. It can actually save you time and money. Imagine not wasting money on clothing that you don’t love and won’t wear. This means no more trips to a poorly lit fitting room with an armful of pieces and a hope that at least one of them will work.
For anyone who is considering starting a business, I am a true believer in the concept of doing what you love. My love of fashion and passion for people has led me here and I can’t wait to see how many people I can help along the way.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Arizona has so much to offer! Living in Scottsdale, the opportunities are endless. If you are looking to be out in nature, our weather definitely supports that. We have some amazing hiking here- I personally love Camelback mountain and the Papago trails. It is also so nice to take a walk along the canal that brings you directly into Old Town. Old Town has something for everyone of all ages. Whether you want to shop, eat, drink or party- you have all of those options right there. One of my favorite past times is grabbing my dog Maurice and walking him around Old Town, popping into whatever store we feel like. We have some amazing boutiques I love. Obviously, the Summer here can be pretty hot so it is always nice to find a great pool to hang out at. Hotel Valley Ho and The Scott are a few of my favorites. If you are looking for some great food and atmosphere I absolutely love Cafe Monarch, Lon’s at The Hermosa, and T Cook’s at the Royal Palms Resort. You cannot go wrong with any of these places. There are also a ton of great cocktail bars in Scottsdale. Volanti is one of my faves because it is so unique. Volanti is actually located in the Scottsdale airport so while you are having a drink you can watch all the cool planes and jets take off and land. Gertrude’s is a cute little place located in the Botanical gardens and the cocktails are amazing! If you are looking for a great Wine bar, Scapegoat in Old Town is very quaint and has great atmosphere.
What’s awesome about Scottsdale is that you can easily take a bunch of little trips from here. You are close to Sedona, Flagstaff, Tucson, and Prescott. All are VERY different so each place you go, you get a completely different vibe. So if you feel like seeing something different, you can venture out!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
From an early age, I have been passionate about people. Understanding that we are all different but yet all the same led me to study Sociology at The University of Arizona. The interactions and experiences I had through my studies and volunteer work there allowed me insight into a world of people cultures and lifestyles. I feel this has given me a unique perception of people and how we may at times struggle to find our voices in society. As a stylist, I aim to be a friend who understands you and helps you create the image of yourself that you’d like to share with the world.
