We had the good fortune of connecting with Nique and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nique, what role has risk played in your life or career?
This life we’re living is a short one. Too short to wake up with the mindset of playing it safe. Fortune favors the bold.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My authenticity and ability to deliver it in any way I believe separates me from anyone making music. The ability to be naturally versatile is something I’ve been blessed with and I feel is the foundation to what adds replay value to my music. I got to where I am professionally by working hard, more importantly being consistent, and ultimately because it’s Gods will! The biggest challenges I’ve had to overcome was just staying patient when progress seemed stagnate or nonexistent. I overcame these obstacles by staying consistent and believing without a doubt I was meant to be great. The biggest lessons I’ve learned through this journey is to prioritize your relationship with God, build a team you can trust and who believe in what you do, and to NEVER quit!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m someone who’s more lowkey than outside but if I had to pop out with a friend who’s visiting for the week I’ma take them to some clubs who’s names I won’t say without some sort of compensation, after the club we definitely have to hit a Waffle House, and then we gon hit the studio and get to it.

If you’re in Scottsdale you can go see what’s to old town, if you on the west side you can find something to get into around west gate, if you’re in the east valley, you probably gon go check out Mill Ave.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to shoutout God, because none of this would be possible without the eternal one.

My Mom is my biggest supporter and backbone! She’s my cheat code in life!

I’d like to shout out my brilliant and amazing girlfriend Swanny because she’s done more for my music career and business ventures in 3 months than people I’ve know my whole life. The ultimate supporter and help mate!

I’d like to shoutout my engineer/ business partner/ close friend Vause! He’s the walking definition of the word “trust.”

My manager and best friend Sterling “GQ” McQueen! His support as a friend and manager is unparalleled. Right or wrong he gon thug it out!

I’d also like to shoutout DJ Prodigee for always spinning my music and pushing my work without me having to ask! That’s gang for sure!

Last but not least both of my brothers Demetrius and DJ! They’ve been there for every part of my life.
