Hi One Fam, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Creating our nonprofit, One Fam Community Outreach, was inspired by a group of individuals with a passion to give back to the community. Our thought process behind starting One Fam Community Outreach was to create a nonprofit that focuses on strengthening families within the community; By engaging, inspiring, motivating & empowering individuals & families within the community!

Our Vision is “Creating stronger communities, while enriching the lives of individuals and families in the community, from the youth to senior citizens.

Our Mission is “To strengthen families within the community, by providing resources, mentoring and community programs based on the different stages in their lives.”

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?

What sets One Fam Community Outreach apart from others, is that we focus on strengthening the family unit.. We strive to create stronger communities, by empowering & enriching the lives of individuals and families in the community,

Communities with unprivileged, lower-income families & individuals, suffer and are at a disadvantage, of having a healthy community environment, due to the lack of community resources. There is a huge need for resources within the lower-income communities, that assist individuals and families, from youth to senior citizens

So, the type of work One Fam Community Outreach focuses on is programs that provide support, education and resources, that target all age groups, help strengthen unprivileged, lower-income individuals and families, that need help in certain areas of their life.

OFCO understands that each individual within a family unit have different needs. Within the community there is a need for nonprofit organizations that focus on the need of the entire family. And nonprofit organizations that provide support, education, programs, and resources based on the different stages in their lives. So, it was very important for OFCO to design programs for individuals & multi generational families.

One Fam Community Outreach has implemented 11 programs; Feeding The Soul, Bridge The Gap, Tools 4 School, Fit Family, We R Human 2, Art is Life, Better Dazes, Back 2 Society, Empower Her, Inspire Him, Culture Impressions. OFCO will definitely create more programs in the future, One Fam Community Outreach is here to strengthen the Community One Family At a Time!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
One Fam Community Outreach officially became a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization in July 2017. We immediately began to partner with a local community organization, Give with Grace. OFCO partnering with Give with Grace for community events allowed us to get directly into the community & began giving back to those in need. So, we would definitely like to give a huge shoutout to Grace Torres, Founder of Give with Grace. Thanks for your amazing support & partnership! We look forward to more partnerships in the future, with Give with Grace.

One Fam Community Outreach celebrated its 5 year anniversary. During the past five years our nonprofit organization has impacted the community in a positive way. We have reach many goals that we set in place. It’ts definitely due to numerous community organization partnerships, donations, volunteers, OFCO programs & community events; Homeless Lunch & Snack Drive, Homeless Hygiene Drive, Kemetic Yoga, School Drive, Shoe Drive, Toy Drive, Thanksgiving Drive, Community Easter Picnic, Community Basketball Game & Single-Parent Giveaway.

OFCO would like to give a shoutout to everyone that donates, volunteers, partners and supports One Fam Community Outreach in any capacity. We can’t reach our goals without the help we receive from the community.
