Meet OnesAll Band | Funk Rock Band

We had the good fortune of connecting with OnesAll Band and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi OnesAll Band, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
From John Stafford & Kathi McKay:
Our son, Jordan, asked us (his parents) to be in his rock band when he was 17 years old. We asked him if he wouldn’t rather have a band with friends his own age, and he replied that he didn’t know any better musicians than we were and he would like for us to be in his band.
We had traveled the US as a touring band in the 80’s, performing in over 40 states, and we had settled in Tucson, AZ when Jordan turned a year old. We felt that our decision to raise a family in Tucson outweighed the prospects of raising a family on “the road”.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
OnesAll is a family. Literally.
Husband (John) and wife (Kathi) have toured as musicians in the US since the late 80’s. When their son, Jordan was 17 (2007), he asked his parents to join his band and named it “OnesAll”. The three released “Yours, Mine and Ours” in 2013 and “Art of Love” in 2019 before oldest son, Brock joined the band in 2020. We have all the challenges of being a family but we also enjoy the benefits of our close connection as well as the connection with the larger band family.
OnesAll performed at nearly one hundred shows last year including the Town of Marana Fourth of July Event, Desert Diamond Casino Balloon Fest, Oro Valley Concert Series, Sahuarita Rock & Roll Concert, Sonoita/Elgin Wine Festival and many more,
OnesAll will be featured in a documentary about the band in late 2023.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Southern Arizona has incredible and diverse options to explore.
We often have international visitors that marvel at the experience of being on the beautiful desert floor one minute and then on a spectacular mountain vista not even a half an hour later -or to be able drive about an hour for world class wine tasting in the vineyards of Sonoita or Willcox.
The Tucson vicinity is small enough to have a tight and caring community, but large and prosperous enough to have tastes of city life. A visit to San Xavier mission and other historical sites that date back to as early as the 1500’s offer magical experiences.
We have many multi-cultural award winning restaurants. The club scene offers a wide variety of musical experiences, with many venues offering musical entertainment seven nights a week.
There are five star resorts for visitors to soak in the high life, or if they choose to go old school, there are cool barrio experiences with delicioso authentic Mexican cuisine.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
We have amazing support from the people who follow us in person and online. Every show is an incredible positive experience as much for us as for the people who participate with our music. Our band, OnesAll, gratefully embraces each performance as a opportunity to convey that all are welcome, all are accepted, and all are cherished.
