We had the good fortune of connecting with Paul Farahvar and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Paul, is there something you believe many others might not?
Planning ahead. I always hated the question “Where do you see yourself in five years” because I never could picture where I would be. I think its important to be prepared of course, but don’t plan too far ahead because sometimes the opportunities that present themselves take you to a whole other path.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
It’s fun to call “Stand Up Comedy” art but I guess it counts right? I think my dry humor about personal stories sets me apart from other comedians most. I was a former lawyer and a former musician so I have some stories that most people don’t have. Plus I am over 40 and single, which makes me more of a unicorn.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I am very inspired by Conan O’Brien and Mr. Rogers. I think both of them gave me hope for the good in people and provide such a positive energy. When Conan was forced out of the Tonight show, his last words to the audience were “If you work really hard and you’re kind, amazing things will happen.” I live by that motto.
