We had the good fortune of connecting with Porsha Roy and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Porsha, what do you attribute your success to?
If I take a look back over the last 5 years that I have been in the Wine Jelly business, I attribute the success of Wandering Wine Glass to perseverance. Wandering Wine Glass Wine Jelly would not have gotten in over 50 retailers from California all the way to England without it. It has enabled me to see my Wine Jelly get shipped to 48 states and 5 countries. It has gotten me featured in this publication and others. Without perseverance I would have thrown in the towel after every slow event or slow sales month. This did not happen overnight, nor did it get a dose of funds from a VC. Blood, sweat, tears, wind, thunderstorms, destroyed tents and more no’s than I care to admit, have all been part of the journey. Taken as a lesson learned; not as a reason to give up. There will always be something being thrown in your path, but if your business has shown it’s value and actionable potential and you really, really want it there is no reason not to pick yourself back up and keep moving up and onward towards all the success you can handle.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Hello readers! I would like to introduce you to Wandering Wine Glass. Originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Wandering Wine Glass offers a unique experience for food & wine enthusiasts, by providing the best artisan-made Wine Jelly. The home cook, foodie, wine aficionado, amateur chef, culinary whiz or Anthony Bourdain wanna-be will love this exclusive food spread that pairs with an endless amount of foods ranging from sweet to savory. Check out the recipes and pairing ideas on the website!
With 9 flavors there is a variety to please any palate; a variety to compliment any dish. Established in 2016, it continues to be delightfully unexpected!
Wandering Wine Glass Wine Jelly comes in an array of sizes and flavors that include: Basil Pinot Noir, Cabernet, Ginger Rosé, Jalapeño White Wine, Lavender Chardonnay, Maple Merlot, Peach Bellini, Sangria and Spiced Red Wine.
I have developed, tested and produced all flavor combinations and jelly recipes. Keeping the Wine Jelly as whole and simple as possible is very important to my business. The ingredients and flavors shine through on their own, without introducing chemicals, dyes and artificial flavors into the recipes. In my opinion, the way food should be. Everything is handmade in small batches with quality ingredients. Wine Jelly brings originality and imagination to people who love food and wine! Everyday I am so grateful I get to share my product with the world.
Looking forward, I am excited for the future as I have some new flavors and products in the lineup. I will say that there is a sugar-free version launching soon! Stay tuned! If you have never heard of, or tried Wine Jelly before, well today is your lucky day! As a special thank you, readers can take 25% off their order of Wine Jelly with promo code SHOUTOUT now until April 30th!
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
After all the eating at all the restaurants comes all the tours. Not museums. I’m talking about winery tours, distillery tours and brewery tours! Cheers!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I dedicate my shoutout to my mom, who always leaves positive comments on all Wine Jelly social media posts and my best friend, Paul, who has been the most amazing sounding board through many endless nights of brainstorming. Thank you.

I love to leave comments and I’m not sure what kind of comment you’ve left this space for but —— As Porsha Roy’s mom, I am PROUD! Porsha is a very strong and determined young lady. And perseverance, wow, that is Porsha. Growing up she was involved in many, many activities – not always following through, but she tried it out. If it wasn’t her, than so be it – she persevered. I am a big fan and supporter of her business. I’ve been with her through the ups and downs. I love her.
