We had the good fortune of connecting with Qira Lewis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Qira, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
When I started my business, it was in 2020 when all of the restaurants and serving places were closed. So when I saw the need for clean food, delivered to people stores that as when I started my business. With a goal of providing affordable nourishment that was made with love and intention and fast, for now, we are continuing to provide meal prep, cater, retreats, cater events cater lunches for businesses and other nourishment offerings.

What should our readers know about your business?
Starting my business, in the middle of a pandemic was not easy there were many days where I pretty much broke even. And that time I just continue to think of the bigger picture and think of how I could serve people in larger ways, which is when I started to implement making Sea moss gel, it contains 92 of 102 minerals and vitamins that our bodies need and is a natural immunity booster. By providing some thing that wasn’t nourishing our bodies from a cellular level, I was able to continue and start to make small profits. I learned that even if other people are doing the same thing as you they may not be doing it with your energy , touch and intention. Knowing that my products where you need to because I was the one making it allowed me to continue to be my authentic self, to continue growing, learning and healing. And also to continue to put myself out there for bigger and better opportunities.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Some of my favorite spots in Arizona are Harding Springs in Sedona to collect fresh living water. Then we would spend some time by dry beaver creek. After we would go and have bison short ribs at a new restaurant called stagecoach. Then we would travel back down to the valley and hopefully catch a techno show by the Circuit Az crew. I prefer a mix of nature and music, and so this would provide us with a full day, immersed in mother, nature, and then allowing ourselves to dance the night away.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would love to shout out my community. They continue to support me my offerings and inspire me to continue going on when I don’t see an end in sight. I’d like to think the healing tree collective for providing a safe space to facilitate I’d like to think the Arizona farmers markets for connecting farmers with The people and last, but not least I’d like to thank my children for understanding and encouraging me to continue working for myself.
