We had the good fortune of connecting with Queli Arenbart and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Queli, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I’m originally from Brazil where I grew up around many family members that were small business owners. I saw the hard work they put in from the start of their business and watched their success over time. I noticed the personal growth they developed from striving to be successful in their market. Seeing them grow as a person along with their business made me want to build something I can call my own. To develop and find myself as I worked on many aspects of being a small business owner.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I’m an independent health insurance broker where I demystify health insurance options for individuals and families. There is no cost for my services so if my clients work with me or the insurance companies the cost is the same. Since I work with many insurance carriers I can be unbiased in my recommendation and really do what is best for my clients. Health insurance pays an important role in protecting us from the unforeseen healthcare cost and family planning for having children.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I currently live in Sedona where I have only been living here for 1 year. I’m still mesmerized by the natural beauty of the red rocks that surround Sedona. I love to get out and hike to get closer to nature and really appreciate the healing of disconnecting from technology. When friends come and visit me they can feel the energy from being out in nature and putting good food into their body. Sedona has a wonderful local juice cafe, gluten-free pizza and other delicious restaurants that are whole food based to help the body detox from the artificial food world that we are surrounded by. Follow up with a muscle aligning massage and tall glass of cucumber alkaline water.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to recognize my father who was a mechanic and small business owner. He was a great example to me.  We lived in a small town where  I worked with him since I was 12 years old and would hear his struggles of owning a business. And saw the dedication, work ethic, mindset and the positive attitude he exuded. This interaction and experience helped prepare me when I went to work for myself.
