We had the good fortune of connecting with Raeven Bayron and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Raeven, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I was pregnant and thinking about the future. I knew I wanted my child to see me do something that genuinely made me happy and that I loved. I always loved photography but always made excuses as to why I couldn’t do it as a career. After the birth of my daughter, I did her newborn photos and fell in love with photography all over again. In the next few months after my fiancé, daughter and myself moved to Arizona, I started practicing more and upgraded my camera. The beginning of this year I officially started my business; Raeven Alexis Photography!
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Starting any business is never easy, but when you love it, you make it happen. Photography is something I’ve always been passionate about and a finally pursed it. I’m excited for my business to really grow and create new concepts and make memories with people.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Start the morning by grabbing breakfast at over easy. Grab coffee from some local coffee shop I tend to just try new ones depending on where I’m at. For lunch I love to loving hut or Green. I love to go for a walk around tempe town lake, or hiking usery park. My favorite place to eat is pizza heaven, they have the best calzones!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would give a little extra credit to my mom. My mom has always been my number one fan and supporter no matter what I wanted to do. She’s also the one who bought me my first camera and has always said I should take my photography seriously and pursue a career in it. My fiancé has also been supportive and encouraging and always pushes me to further my craft.
