We had the good fortune of connecting with Richelle Peraza and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Richelle, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
In life, and from a young age I learned that risk taking is what gets you from point A to point B or simply the difference between wishing on a star for something to come true as opposed to giving it your all.

When you’re raised as a risk taker you thrive on the excitement of learning & growing. You learn that there’s always tomorrow & that with a good support system you’re never failing only learning.

So, in regards to my career & life; I can honestly say I risked it all! Daily Dose initially began as a mere idea & midnight thought. It was on one of those sleepless nights where I began my research & started learning about herbs
, holistic healing & aromatherapy. It was a rabbit hole that I fell into; & have loved every second! To this day I find it fascinating on how our Mother Earth can provide so much for us with the correct resources.

With some research conducted, I began making bath salts & using them on myself as well as my husband. Couple days passed & I made my first batch of loose incense & herbal baths & that was it. I immediately became hooked & knew this was what I wanted to do.

Overall, I would say “risks” are blessings in disguise that sometimes need a little faith and willpower.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
When I first started Daily Dose I wanted to create a brand that made you feel welcomed. A product that you could use on the daily that not only uplifted your mood but also brought love & self acceptance. That’s how I came up with the name (Daily Dose) because we all need that little moment to ourself to feel complete.

Personally, I believe my business sets me apart from others because it is a complete representation of myself. From the colors of my packaging, to the products & combinations. Daily Dose is me. It’s my practice of gratitude, it’s the energy of lifting others & projecting light.

As every second ticks I am most excited to see how far Daily Dose becomes. I am excited to see how recognized it becomes within my community as well as how many people it helps within their spiritual journey.

Business wise I can honestly say I received a lot of help, and A LOT OF ADVICE. I am fortunate to have such amazing friends that are small business owners as well. For instance Maria Jose Cortes, & Maria- Ines Cortes have helped me in guiding me on do’s & don’ts. Maria- Ines for instance helped me by creating my business card & choose me to be a part of her first local pop up market in Rio Rico which is where I first started. Maria- Jose (Majo) is always helping me by letting me know what markets are available, where I can buy stickers for a reasonable price & just giving me pointers on how to grow as she has created a very successful business of her own by making 100% soy candles (DiLuna).

Some lessons I have learned along the way are that some batches are better than others and to always follow the recipe. As much as I try I am only human & there’s times where I come across minor problems with adding too much essential oils that the paper tube becomes damp or I did come across a problem with my bath salts at the beginning but with a lot of consistency & experimenting. I have created a recipe that has not created any problems.

I would like the world to know that I truly love helping others. That I want to project the importance of how to educate one another as we learn the true meaning of value. That by empowering one another & simply enjoying the little moments we find a sense of gratitude & love.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Being raised in a small town, we learn that our little town may not have the fanciest restaurants nor hotels but whenever I did bring a friend from out of town I always introduced them to my favorite hometown restaurant Zulas. Zulas is a small family owned business that was open for many years. Located on one of our main streets Grand Ave Zulas was well known for their delicious burgers. I personally would always order a Zulas burger & banana cream pie for dessert. Additionally, I wouldn’t let my best friend leave without getting introduced to Finitos which once again is a small family owned business. Finitos unlike Zulas sells their own version of shaved flavored ice. It is honestly a Nogales town staple & everyone’s favorite place!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
To my husband, Kj Peraza.

Frankly none of this would be possible if it wasn’t for him. Kj has been my number one supporter as he has assisted me from the start. From testing products, smelling new combinations & being open to my many ideas. Kj has not only given me the liberty to quit my full time job & become a stay at home mom to my beautiful one year old baby girl Mila Riselle but has also let me start a new career from scratch & help me through within every step of the way.

Aside from my husband I would also like to thank my friends & family for being supportive of Daily Dose. There is a lot that goes into starting your own business & it’s every compliment & smile that I receive that helps me strive for more.
