We had the good fortune of connecting with Ruth Micsunescu and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ruth, how do you think about risk?
When it comes to life, I think we all realize that we are all in. All of us so taking risks is an intrinsic part of being alive. So really when it comes to business, the risks that we take aren’t that much different than any other life risks. We have to make choices every day and time will pass, regardless might as well take some of these risks and look back on your life and think, “wow, I’m really glad I did that!”

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
One of the biggest standouts of our business, I believe, is our exceptional customer service. My sister, Poppy, and I are both Healthcare workers and business owners. We serve people from all walks of life, who may have various stressors that can really impact their experiences. We create a joyous, welcoming, and trustworthy environment for a customers. It’s not just sales. It’s a once in a lifetime experience for our brides.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m not much of a foodie, but I do think Phoenix has great desert beauty! Going for hikes would be a must on the itinerary. A recent hike I did was Weaver‘s Needle in the Superstition Mountains, but at night time. It looked like we were on another planet.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My sister Poppy Carter and I helped create Colby Bridal. Colby is my nephew (Poppy’s son), who is the namesake of our store. And we keep business in the family! Our mother, Mariana Micsunescu, is a expert seamstress, so it was a natural progression to get into the bridal business.
